Recording dreams in the present tense?

When i wake up and record my dreams i typically try to record them in the present tense, like I'm there again. Is there any connection between present or future tense and better or worse dream recall?
I wander through the woods listening to the sound of nature. The sky turns red and opens before me. I realize that I must be dreaming... My adventure has just begun.

I don't know. I also do the present tense thing. Supposedly, it helps you recall it while you are writing it and reading it. I believe it. I found myself remembering details and other whole bubbles of dream plot by writing it. I don't know if it was because I was writing in present tense or not. But I see the logic of it, and I like the logic. I don't see any reason to NOT write in present tense. It makes for better reading anyway.

Do you have this problem? You start writing in present tense and then you find that somewhere you switched to past tense and it is not consistent? I hate that. I usually go back and scratch out every word that is not in present tense and rewrite it.
