hey ya all. Well ive been visiting this site for a few months now but havent posted anything yet so i thought i may as well get over the activation energy and begin.
Im 22 and learnt about lucid dreaming from a text file my flat mate sent me. It sounded interesting enough so i do wat anyone who requires more info does and googled, hence i found this site. Im farely new to forums also and this is the first one i belong to, but thats another story.

Anywho. Ive never lucid dreamt but am very willing to learn. I am one of those types who is able to remember dreams well enough however since putting in the effort and recording them in a journal, my abilty to remember every detail has exculated. In fact i find it quite tiresome to write down all the info i remember hence i tend to just store it in my head. My dreams are interesting enough that i seem to be able to store quite a few in there, and mainly just focus on the details that are most obviously signs that i am dreaming. The most freaky thing that happened to me was by following some instructions i found on here, and telling myself before i sleep that i will wake after my first dream cycle and remember my dream, it actually happened. I was amazed, my subconcious listened to me. So from that point on i have been motivated to train and learn. So far i have about 30 dreams in my journal. I have made a single reality check (check my watch - i was surprised to find i had a watch on even though i dont wear one in real life ) however this wasnt evidence enough convince myself i was dreaming . So im at the point where i need to be able to make reality checks. I wake from my dreams (god damn my imagination is creative) and kick myself everytime for not noticing how extravagent the dream is, and how obvious it is a dream.

so yeah, thats me. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how i will be able to enoucourage reality checks in my dreams. I guess the every day training in real world will probably help, am i correct?
