Hiya, Dreamviews forums. =D I'm Fisher (and new here, obviously) so I figured I might as well introduce myself. I've been interested in lucid dreams and stuff for a while, and my recall's improving - I can usually remember a dream a night, and I've been keeping a journal. Um...I don't have much to say about myself, I'm kind of a boring person. xD So I guess that's it on that front.

Anyway, I have a question. I tried using my own little variation on the WILD technique last night, and I got some interesting results...I just want to hear people's opinions, 'cause I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. ^^;

Basically, I laid down in bed and let myself relax all over, tightening up my muscles and then letting them relaxed. I tried not to move my body at all and kept my arms held out slightly at my sides and my limbs straight. With my eyes closed, I tried to forget the feeling of my body and just repeated "I'm going to have a lucid dream and remember it in the morning."

Within about 10 minutes (which is odd - I'm a terrible sleeper and it usually takes me half an hour at least to fall asleep) my feet started to tingle. I dismissed it as my feet falling asleep and tried to keep focusing on the thought I was repeating, but it spread very quickly and soon I was getting pins-and-needles all over. It felt very strong, but not unpleasant - kind of like being an Alka-Seltzer dissolving in a glass of water. I kind of got excited, opened my eyes by accident and pulled myself out of the sensation because I hear that people get some really creepy hallucinations when they look around themselves. D:

So...do you think it was my body drifting into sleep paralysis or something? Was I doing it right? Opinions would be great. C:>

Thanks!
