Hey, I just found dreamviews about a week ago, and signed up for the forum last night. I figured that instead of lurking around until my two weeks is up, it would be best to get to know some of you ahead of time.
I'm 19, and I'm in college as a music major. I also work part time, and spend most of my spare time talking to friends, meeting new people, and thinking. I am interested in almost everything. Clothes shopping, cooking, writing poetry, building computers, beekeeping, bikeriding, watching movies...you name it. In short, I'm human playdough...without the bad smell.
Although I just started reading up on lucid dreaming techniques very recently, I've had a couple short LD's before, but dismissed them as funny dreams. Every now and then, I'll have a very vivid, strange dream. When I was sixteen, I had a dream where I met myself from five years in the future. My future self explained to me that he had come to see me to tell me something very important. He told me that in five years, I would meet a girl, and because of meeting her, something terrible would happen. My future self said that I must do everything in my power to avoid meeting her. After I was told this, I asked what her name was. My future self then told me her name, and I wrote it down on a slip of paper. The strangest part was that I had never heard that name before in real life. Over the past couple years I have forgotten it, but I do remember it started with a "B". Another weird thing was that, aside from meeting myself five years older, nothing else weird happened in my dream that could not have happened in real life. No flying objects or weird out of place events, like me rowing a paddleboat or eating a big cupcake. I'm not personally a spiritual person, and don't believe myself to be psychic or anything. But that would definately have to be the strangest dream I can recall having.
Well, I guess that's an introduction I'm satisfied with. I would also like to add that I am very interested in what I've seen of your adoption system, and it seems like an awesome idea. I'll definately keep an eye out for somebody I want to get attached to. (Though I find it kind of odd that the "odoptees" are the ones claiming the "odopters")
Looking forward to being a regular ^^
