Hey, I tend to have very vivid dreams and can recall a fair emount of stuff happening in them, in fact to the point my mates are normally like 'how the feck can you remember all that, your dreams are epic' So last night I tried for my first induced lucid dream, Iv been aware iv been in a dream before but never been able to take control of it and again the same thing happened last night.
I used the timer with the beeps as a wake up/reminder im asleep and on the first few attempts it just woke me straight up and I instantly turned over but after a few attempts I think I managed to hit sleep paralysis though it felt like it lasted < 30 sec. I lay perfectly still as a woke and eventually it felt like my body was going into a state of panic and when keeping my eyes closed they started rolling around in my head rapidly :S Eventually I snapped out of it and was fully awake again.
After that I found that when ever the timer went off and I was asleep I could hear the timer in the dream and know I was dreaming, however I couldnt contain the dream. Everytime it happened the dream became unstable and I woke up again, I did manage to try some RC's in the dream such as checking my watch but it was staying at the right time (dispite not having a watch on in my bed) and trying to push my finger through my hand which never worked. To stablise the dream I tried to touch the ground but I could feel it quickly fading out and I was straining myself in order to keep the dream in place
So.... What are good ways in order to stablise a LD and is it easier to induce LD from allowing my self to fully wake and enter sleep paralysis or use a timer to trigger myself when already dreaming ?
Cheers
