what is a lucid dream experience like

Okay i am new to lucid dreaming a few days now but had my first yesterday, it was only a few second long though. and was wondering what are lucid dreams like, are they like real life where you can feel each moment or are they like regular dreams where when you wake up you remember it all at once but don't ever really experience it in the moment?

It goes both ways. There's gonna be some parts that you felt like you were there, and the rest might just come to you. I've had lucid dreams where I stopped and just looked around, in awe of everything I was seeing. I had a lucid dream yesterday, and while I can't remember the whole thing, I remember standing on a balcony with the sun shining on me. It felt like real life. I was literally there.

Not to sound cheesy, it's actually kind of beautiful. To be inside your head like that. Such vividness and clarity...

sure it does sound cheesy but so does the concept of lucid dreams before you get to know more about them, by the way thanks, i'm still really unsure about this whole thing, but that helps a little, i mean what's the point of dreamscaping or flying when you will only experience them like a faded memory.

Lucid dreams can feel extremely realistic, being able to feel, hear, smell, and see clearly. But they also come in different measures to, not all are as vivid as what I described, but a lot are.

One thing I've noticed is the experience really depends on how much you focus on something, if you focus to much on moving around or something you'll lose and gain in other senses.

However when you do wake up they do feel just like any old memory, I personally try to remember the feeling of the dream rather then the sight of it. It helps you to remember it more then just a dream or memory.
