      some strange experience

      Hey guys,

I've joined this forum a couple of days ago.

I read lots of threads about lucid dreaming especially wilding. I really want to have a lucid dream so i tried the wbtb technique and naps every day but the only things i experienced was that numb feeling and some rl pictures/clips and a telephone ringing wich sounded pretty real[only my arms were paralysed though]. i also did rcs and asked myself am i dreaming? several times day.Last morning i woke up and gave it a try spontaneously but didn't work so i rolled over and fell asleep.
I was dreaming of going home from school but i thought all of a sudden "wait a minute I'm dreaming" after that it felt like air blew in or out of my ears and i woke up.

there's a newby who needs help EDIT: Well, my questions are why didn't i had a lucid dream but woke up instead ,why am i not fully paralysed( only my arms) and what am i doing wrong, at one point even though my eyes where closed i saw fully brgihtness like somebody is holding a flashlight in front of me. what could that be

p.s i also take care of my rem cycle and wake up 6 hours after i fell asleep

Are you asking how to prolong the dream? If so you can either rub your hands together or spin around. And do you go to bed when you're tired? My problem was I went to bed and was keeping myself awake thinking about it all lol, maybe clear your mind more if you don't.

Once you feel that you are in partial paralysis, be relaxed and calm, dont try to exit this time. Try the following.
      1. Feel completely relaxed by taking simple, long and deliberate breaths.
      2. Make yourself believe that you are in Full Paralysis. Twist your muscles without moving your body parts.
To fulfill your Sleep, you have to Dream,
To fulfill your Dreams, you have to Wake up.

Another thing everytime I'm about to fall asleep a muscle twitches.Would this be a problem if in the transiton phase.

e.g. i'm on my bed relaxing my arms and legs are paralysed and I am observing but not focusing the pictures in my head.
I opened a door and i saw a room and two beds on each bad somebody was sleeping just then my lefft arm twitches and i get back.

I think it's called hypnagogic imagery
