      It depends on who you talk to. But as a general concept they are different.

      Out of Body Experience: The dissociative experience of observing yourself from an external perspective as though your mind or soul had left and was observing your body.

      Lucid Dream: A dream state in which one is conscious enough to recognize that one is in the dream state and which stays in one's memory.
