      Agh!

      Hey there.
I've had many, many sleep paralasis experiences throughout my life, always acompanied by feelings of deep rooted sheer terror, which isn't exactly fun. I keep trying to induce them reguardless to get used to it but that aint happening. As soon as I realize I'm in SP, that feeling splatters itself across me and I find myself 'forcing' my body to move, its very heavy but i can move a bit, allowing me to whack myself in the face and jolt myself awake.

Anyway, I was attempting WILD earlier, I reached 1,688 breaths, felt really deeply relaxed, numb body, and the sodding phone rang.
I think the reason I'm not getting the result I aim for, is my extreamly dry mouth/throat causing me to swallow by reflex now and again. Also, my eye lids seem to enjoy twitching, which is another pest.

Trust me, Wild is hard. Just keep practicing.

Indeed, WILD is hard. Until you've mastered it, I suggest that you use DILD and MILD techniques beside it. They will give you a lucid dream from time to time. If you've never had a lucid dream and you start with WILD, you're going to get frustrated and give up all together.

I think I've been pretty close to wild, in most of my SP i eventually halucinate when i'm too heavy to wallop myself, but have never been able to stop myself from trying to force myself out of it. I'm hoping to induce SP as much as I can and hopefully be able to chill out and see it through, heres hopin!

I will have to look into DILD and MILD, I kinda like the thought of entering with WILD though, seems more conveniant but at a large difficulty for a begginer.

Also, I'm a very focused person and I've got oodles of patience..I think its just the dry mouth. swallowing, eye twitching and the damn phone ringing(damn you cold callers.) spoiling my attempts
      Thank you for replyin

Ergh I hate when the phone rings, and also that eye twitching thing, or maybe you may think your eyes are trying to open, just try to relax your eyelids. Your brain knows you're awake so your eyelids can get anoying when closed long.

Yeah my eyes sorta flicker now and again, and my eye lids twitch.. when I relax em they usually try to float open, and I have to keep stopping them from opening :/

But, knowing me, I'll have a damn good try, and if I fail
      I'll just try again.

Oh gosh, I have the exact same problem with the whole eye-twitching thing! >.> I tried to preform a WILD early today through trying to take a nap. I was in a really good trance, having hallucanations and all, and then my damn eye's flicker open for no reason.
But it could easily be that's there's to much light for me to fall asleep...

The closest to a WILD I've ever managed was probably the first time I tried it. It was probably because I was quite tired, but I felt like I was vibrating all over my body and my heart was beating so fast, as if I'd been doing heavy exersize. It ebbed away though...

Am I the only one who is thinking " Shit man... You counted to 1,688! " lol.

Also, I have the same problem when attempting wild. My mind wanders some, my eyelids go crazy. I think it's so hard ( for me anyways ) is because it usually takes me about an hour or more to get to the point where Im ready to fall asleep. I just got some Melatonin supplements yesterday from WalMart ( I will post review after I have about a weeks experience with it. But it definitely made it easier for me to get comfortable and I felt as if I could fall asleep within 15 mins or so. It made my body feel more relaxed as well, and I had an overall better nights sleep. Im really excited and looking forward to the results!

Regarding eye twitching, I saw advice somewhere here to turn all lights off about half an hour before attempting WILD (of course that depends on how long you stay awake).

I find it helpful to try less. That makes me more relaxed, also my eyes. But I've only had two WILDs... Good luck!
