      Just some new Kid

      Hey,

My name is Mandy and I was recommended to come here by a friend. We have been friends for a long time (Shaderz) but this is probably the first time I ever talked about my dreams with someone. It is a bit depressing but I never seem to have very man good dreams. They are very rare and most of my dreams end up being oddball movies, nightmares, or dreams about people I have yet to meet.

The one good dream I can recall was being shrunk and running around in a bowl of ice cream. (That had to be one of the BEST dreams ever.) When I was around 12-14 I started having a lot of lucid dreams. (everyday for maybe a month or so). It was always the same, I was visited by a "person" at 11:11 every night and he would leave when the time changed. (For some reason time seemed to go really slow when he would show up.) The "person" was a large skeleton like figure with a neck as long as his spine and his muscle tissue completely rotting off the bone. The only thing perfect about him that gave him any sort of personality were a pair of soft eyeballs in their sockets. Hunched over, he would come into my room and sit by my bed every night. When this happened I could not move and felt as if I had a huge weight on me. I wouldn't have cared so much back then but he kept coming back and years later he visits whenever I did lucid dream.

Since then, my dreams are very off and I have odd dreams where I have to pay attention to figure out if they are real or not. I don't dare try lucid dreaming, just because I am pretty scared to see what happens. It doesn't feel like I have very much control over things happening.

But! It is nice to meet all of you I cant wait to read some interesting dream journals.

Hi Mandy, you arent going to be able to figure out a meaning from all of your dreams. Dreams usually don't mean anything.

Hi, Mandy. If you're already paying attention to your dreams to see if they are real or not, you are halfway to lucid dreaming. As you pay more attention to your dreams, they should become more memorable, vivid, and interesting.

I don't think I could ever understand or explain what happens in my dreams. I just want more control of what is happening. Thus far everything in them is very fast paced so I don't even have time to do anything while realizing they are dreams. Just go in all the motions and hope I dont end up dieing in them.
