Talking hey all, use to hate lucid dreaming, now its not so bad!

      Hey all,
as you are probably aware, i am a newbie.
i just basically wanted to introduce myself and get some other peoples feedback on lucid dreaming.
i started lucid dreaming probably about a year ago.
I always found that when i would take an afternoon nap i would experience sleep paralysis and it scared the hell out of me. It honestly felt like i was paralysed, after time i finally taught myself how to wake up (usually screaming did the trick).
After doing alot of research on sleep paralysis i also learnt about lucid dreaming.
My first lucid dream was a little scary, i was dreaming that i was kissing this guy and it felt so real but i realised that i was dreaming, all of a sudden he turned into this ghostly/demon like figure and flew backwards out my window.
i am still only quite new to it, it has taken me a long time to finally go with it instead of fighting it.
i have learnt how to fly (well more correctly float) and today i had my first "outer body experience"
It was so amazing, i literally floated up out of my body turned around and saw myself sleeping (a little scary seeing myself though).
What i want to know is how do i get better at lucid dreaming?
When i lucid dream i can't seem to leave my room, i want to know how to "teleport"?
How do i make my lucid dreams last longer?
When you first started lucid dreaming, did you get scared and have this weird sensation, like you were kinda shaking all over?

No, I was really excited when I was starting. It shouldn't be scary.

I don't find it scary. I think the more you know about something, the less likely you are to be afraid. Good to hear that are starting to enjoy it and feel more comfortable with it.

I've never experienced the shaking. Sometimes in a lucid I'll feel like I'm underwater, like almost weightless and also feeling the dense water pressure around me. Other times I feel drunk, like my eyes can't focus on one spot and I have trouble thinking coherently. But when the dream is vivid enough, it feels just like real life.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Just practice and ask questions. How you progress depends a great deal on your level of intelligence and desires on where to go with you self-development.

Length of LDs is something I may have to work on. I've only had 3 technically, the first two I woke up because of outside influences, my most recent one I woke up after a secondary RC (Not sure why, I wasn't excited because I had gotten past that earlier.)

Still a bit early to tell I guess, maybe it's just a matter of willing it to last longer... I'll have to give that a go next time I LD.

Thanks guys, its nice to be able to come here and have ppl know what the eff i am talking about.

Yeah i also sometimes feel drunk and i feel like i cannot focus my eyes properly, just something i will have to practice.

I am about to have a nap, so lets hope i can lucid dream, i really wanna try that spinning/teleporting thing.

i guess i have to learn not to get too excited, i have started to RC so hopefully i will start doing it in my dreams.
It's weird that i don't normally have to RC when lucid dreaming, usually if i have an idea that i am dreaming i will just float.
Anyway off to take my nap, will let you know if theres any more progress
