    1. Dry spell ended.

      by , 11-23-2010 at 09:28 PM
Jeeze a loo. Quite the LD dry spell.

Anyway, it was a straight up DILD. Falling asleep while dreaming is becoming a fairly common way for me to become lucid.

Getting down to brass tacks. I was basically trying to fall asleep in an alternate version of my current living room. The TV is on (It wasn't in real life.) and I'm trying all sorts of positions to fall asleep. Eventually I put on some kind of potato sack over my head. I fall asleep then. Things fade in and I'm looking at some kinda crystal ball, things are tinted blue. I grab at it, but it's too far away. I try again and use it as an anchor, feeling it and using it to calm me down. I briefly think about how soon i might wake up since I became lucid, but I let that thought drift away. I move over to a stove (Again, things are still pretty blue.) and feel it. It's quite cold. The whole area looks quite familiar, and i comment aloud to myself that it does. Despite the fact that it looks only vaguely like some place I've been. So I walk over to a table with a bottle of soda and try a sip, it's remarkably realistic and tastes like root beer. (Even though it looked like Pepsi Blue.)

This parts a little hazy. I'm in an area that looks a lot like the living room of my previous house. I see a few creatures in a fenced area, they're quite small. One of them is a skeleton riding a spider from minecraft (Despite the fact I've never even SEEN one in minecraft...). I walk by an end table with a lamp. There are minecraftian pack-llamas near it, I comment how cool they look. I start to walk outside, passing my dad sleeping in his room in my previous home.

I head out the door, which is exactly like the front door of my current home, and close the door behind me. I'm on the deck of my old house, with a nearby landmark kind of making an amalgam of the two. I think about trying to fly now that I'm outside. So I jump, and naturally, gravity is low. I don't pursue it beyond that. As I look around, everything goes really foggy and a tornado bolts past me on the right. It doesn't destroy anything though and things clear up. Soon after, a gust of wind picks me up and carries me around a bit, I'm pretty surprised by it and begin thinking about my subconscious. The wind sets me down near a dry looking bush and it seems I'm in a park, despite not having gone anywhere.

I look out in the distance and see a girl walking through the grass towards me. I know it's my subconscious, and I call out to it. We meet up and I thank it.

She looks at me and says "Sometimes when I sleepwalk, it fallows me home. Did that happen to you?"

I reply "I don't know yet..." and I wake up.

Bah, Elly wakes me up EVERYTIME we meet. But I'm pretty sure it was responsible for making me lucid this time. *Grumble grumble* I sure hope i figure this out eventually. But despite the fact it wakes me up every time I summon it, I'm not gonna stop doing it! >:C
    2. Dreaming, but not asleep?

      by , 11-06-2010 at 03:14 AM
Yeah, weird as hell being dreaming, but not asleep, or even paralyzed. In fact, I recognised I had slipped into dreaming, but when I did an RC, I did it in real life, waking me up! @_@ Odd.

Shortly after, I had what many would call an 'Out of body experience' and flew around my living room a bit. Having a rather nice throw back as "A small of two pieces" played as well. Lost consciousness after... Sinking into my carpet.

    3. Unlocking doors.

      by , 11-04-2010 at 05:57 PM
Huzzah, I'll not complain about waking up early... I just wish it didn't come at the cost of a short lucid. =(

Anywho, I did have a semi-lengthy dream before becoming lucid, but I'll omit that due to it being fairly unremarkable.

Anyway, me and my brother (I don't have a brother in real life, so there's a good chance it was Elly.) are running to a bus stop, when I get the idea to do a reality check, I become lucid. My brother runs behind this chapel looking place and I follow (I forget to calm and anchor, but I don't really get a rush of excitement when becoming lucid...). My dog is there, and there's a padlock on the door.

Exhibiting a bit of dream control (Or lack there of.) I search my pockets for the key. Finding nothing, I look over at a copy of my dog (Wearing a wedding veil... Double-you tee eff.) and ask "Did I leave that key on your collar?". Sure enough, a key is hanging from his collar, I get the key off, pet both of the dogs (Blinking, hoping it'll merge the two into one... It doesn't.) and head in.

Immediately, I get a rush of a dread feeling upon seeing the room. There are familiar objects on the floor, and while I've never seen the room itself before, it seems very familiar. I only get a few steps in before I wake up. I can't DEILD back in. =(

So fairly easy to interpret. Elly didn't want me to see what was in there... I think, but then why did she indirectly lead me there? Bah, dammit... Elly needs to talk to me more instead of just waking me up when I summon her. >;/ This one was just long enough to not count as a fraction of a LD.

    4. A memorable non-LD and a rooftop LD.

      by , 11-02-2010 at 07:46 PM
Ordinarily, I don't write down non-lucids here, I just keep those in my physical dream journal. But a rather interesting non last night.

It's a slight sign that I've been playing too much Minecraft, as I started out in a desert-esque biome, I move to a snowy, mountainous region. I do a bit of digging, but the interesting thing was when I tried climbing a particular incline. Just absolutely gusting wind, pressing against me. I remember being kinda blown away by it (Metaphorically, and ALMOST literally.). So I head down and notice a cave. Inside a little ways was a VERY large open cavern, the cave continued on for awhile further beyond my sight.

The large cavern wasn't lit at all, but I could still see kinda. There were these metal power boxes, that I searched as if they were chests. I search them all, nothing was inside. So I'm fiddling with my inventory, trying to place down a torch to see better. I then turn around and see this dark (Minecraftily blocky) figure jump down off a power box and scamper out of the cave. It scared the ever living bajesus outta me, in a way I don't often get scared in dreams. Frikkin' Id. Dream ended.

As for the lucid, I was in a fancy looking house, talking with an older lady. My cat was there as well, as I had to clean up some of his vomit. >=\ Things are a bit shaky after that, I didn't exactly write down the dream right when I woke up... Frikkin' sleeping pills... But I know I somehow ended up on a rooftop garden. I think I just randomly decided to RC (I don't even remember what kind, but I'd assume it's my usual nose breathe.) and then grab the nearest thing. It happened to be a small duck topiary. As I'm looking at it, it turns into an actual toy duck. This clears things up quite a bit.

I notice a small picture or painting with a swirly pattern, I'm somehow drawn to it, thinking I could use it as a portal. I get pretty close to it but nothing happens so I just leave it be. I decide to summon my subconscious, Elly, via the 'turn around expecting' method. It works! Though she's wearing some kinda green robe and a mask that is either a smiley or a kodama or Arakune type mask. I greet her and approach, I ask if she can take off her mask, she does and she has ear-length rainbow hair and firey red eyes with very black pupils. None of this bothers me though, I talk with her a bit. She doesn't say anything, which is pretty typical. Soon after, I wake up.

      Again, not untypical. =\

Though interesting, I didn't accomplish any of my November goals while lucid. Ah well, the more time I have with Elly, the better I think.

    5. Kinda DEILD, but mostly Novembers goals.

      by , 11-01-2010 at 04:43 AM
Kinda did a DEILD this morning, but my lucidity was... Iffy at best.

Had something t'do with a grocery store.

But, I have a whole cornucopia of goals for November, which I am calling the 'Senses suite'.

      Novembers goals
      Sight
      -Look upon something truly unexplainable.
      -See my subconscious's undiluted form.
      Sound
-Remember an entire conversation in a dream. (That's longer than a few words.)
      -Listen to a song.
      Smell
-Smell a flower in a dream.
-Smell something that shouldn't have a scent.
      Touch
-Pet my cat in a dream.
      -Give someone a hug.
      Taste
      -Eat something.
      -Drink something.

Pretty general, but when I manage to fill out the list, I might try a few more goals.

    6. Back to school, lucid style.

      by , 10-29-2010 at 04:38 PM
Jeeze a loo, ANOTHER LD?! Not that I'm complaining, but man alive if they aren't downright frequent at this point! Actually, this marks the longest LD I've had in a long time, though it was split up into two dreamscapes. Once again, Elly (My sub) maintains her crafty nature... Assuming it's not just me looking for her in places she wasn't.

Anyway, this actually may be the longest I've traveled in a dream in a long time. I left my house, thinking of asking my grandmother for a ride, but instead deciding to walk. Our front gate is broken (It's our current house.) and lying on the sidewalk, I notice my cat is home and let him in through the front door (I've done that, in actuality, one time in my life.). i pass the mailman and comment how he won't have to worry about that gate for awhile, jokingly. Most people have trouble opening that particular gate.

So I'm walking to collage, actually, it's the same school as I dreamnt about not too long ago in a Non-LD. Except it's not for Super Humans and Other worldly beings. I pass a school as I'm walking, and given how frikkin' often I dream about school, I'm not content just going to the school I'm supposed to, I have to stop at a random school on the way that vaguely looks like my old highschool. @_@

So I end up at a class taught by my second grade teacher Mrs. R. Though the students look to be about 5th or 6th graders. Anyway, the teacher is having a heck of a time with them, as they are absolutely enamored with chapter 1 of something... I think a book, and so much so that they're reluctant to continue. I'm mainly just observing at this point. Though I see some kid bully another kid, I follow him into the bathroom (Which is oddly attached directly to the classroom.) and basically threaten him if he tries to ever bully that kid again. Double standard? Yeah. @_@

Anyway, Mrs. R reminisces about a class trip me and my friend P went on (Which never happened IRL). Something about my friend P jumping off a boat after being dared or something.

Some more things about that Chapter 1 hoopla. Then I realize the time, that I'm late as all hell for my collage class! I have a trapper keeper which the above bully gets for me, but accidentally (Ha, 'Accidental' sure.) spills the papers all over. I pick up the stuff, joking with him about the accidental part and head off towards the exit. The class is sad to see me go. I breifly think about asking Mrs. R for a recommendation in regards to the collage? something like that.

Anyway, I get to the exit of that school and see my first girlfriend S and her boyfriend (Though, oddly enough, S doesn't look anything like herself and neither does her boyfriend.). I say "Ms. S.R. (Her full name.) I presume?" she turns her head and gives me the cold shoulder. I'm a bit sad by this and just exit, saying "I'm sorry, more than you'll ever know.". So I'm walking on the sidewalk along the school, there are students (About high school age, maybe collage.) all over outside. I check my watch (Of which I don't have one IRL.) and see it's 7:15.

As I'm walking, i get it in my head to do a reality check. So my MILDing must really be paying off. I do, it fails, and I'm lucid. At this time, i notice S.R. is there smiling. (Probably Elly, whom I, once again, forget to summon. Blargh!) First thing I do is drop down to the grass on the boulevard and feel it, and even smell it. It's all quite realistic. Soon after, things get extremely blurry, so I stare at my hand, and say to myself "I want to stay in this dream a bit longer.". It doesn't save the dream, so I fall backwards to try and salvage staying asleep.

I fall for what seems like a good 6 to 10 seconds. Eventually I find myself at a different street. I notice a power pole most prominently at first, then I'm looking down the street. I preform another reality check (Yay me for remembering.) and it fails, and thus I'm still lucid. There's a large white car in the street, people all around, at the end of the street it gets very Minecraftian, with a hole and Minecraft dirt at the end of the street.

Anyway, i try and experiment and find a lady amongst the crowd and kiss her. She doesn't seem to enjoy it much, but she lets me kiss her about 3 times on the lips. I kiss another lady, even tasting the lipstick on her lips (She wasn't wearing lipstick...), the crowd kinda gets angry at me, so I don't peruse it much. This was mainly a test on expectations.

So, I find myself in an airport or mall type setting. No jump cut or anything, the scene just changed without me noticing. There are two restroom doors labeled very oddly, I only remember one as... Rantata? Or somewhere along the lines, I remember thinking it was Spanish or something. Somewhere in the mall/airport, I did at least a few RCs just to keep lucidity. Mainly nose breathes, but I did change it up with a finger count (5, if you're curious, but my hand itself looked odd, so it still kept me lucid.). Anyway, I enter what seemed to be the womens bathroom, though there were other men within'. I only took a look around, everything seemed normal (Besides this being a unisex public bathroom.). Well, there was one oddity, an apparent bathroom attendant in a white animal suit (Think mascot-esque.) whose sole purpose was to open the door to the bathroom.

I check out the other bathroom, after being cautious of the drains in front of the toilets. (I honestly don't know why.) In the 2nd bathroom, Mr. Guy-in-white-animal-suit is there, and I help a lady out by pointing out a map to the mall/airport that is on the wall. Anyway, the place seemed to change focus from a bathroom to some kinda... Automated dispensery or something. I notice someone, in a VERY awesome way, quickly using their foot to press a button and just barely eak out using a booth before person. It was a rather portly looking african-american girl, so I walk up to her and comment on the awesome move she pulled. (In retrospect, she looked like an older version of someone I knew in grade school.) She's apparently getting bullets from whatever dispenser thing she's using. I comment how it should be like a serve-yourself soda fountain and the bullets are dispensed in a cup as well. She gets a mild chuckle outta that. I think I really wanted to jump her bones or something, she mentioned using Zyrtex to 'keep it up'. 6o.o;; I agree, saying it shouldn't be too hard to get some.

Anyway, she packs up her bullets in a box (There looks to be well over 100 in the box... Possibly 200. I think they're just 9mm.) and I follow her out. We walk near a very familiar looking metal railing. A few steps later, in front of what seems to be bleachers? She turns around and throws her arms out to her sides. I wake up.

Sheesh, I guess that's to be expected in subconsciouses... But Elly really does like toying with me! >:C

    7. (Lucid) Dream-roll, please.

      by , 10-26-2010 at 07:31 PM
Crimney, as the end of October approaches, I'm on a frikkin' roll when it comes to becoming lucid! There's much to be desired on clarity and length, but I'll take what I can get.

This dream marks the saddest dream I can remember having, possibly ever. (Or at least, the saddest I've been within' a dream.) Mainly because it dealt with the death of my Grandmother, who passed in August. No interpretation needed for much of this.

Anyway, I'm on a stretch of country road, this guy is pulled over and we (As cops, looking rather military in nature.) are arresting him for some charges. There are a few people that I don't recognize, just some random dream characters. Strangely, once we get the guy arrested, my grandmother is there, and the guy is... On the dashboard? Not in a gruesome or violent way, he's just... There. Anyway, my Grandmother calls him 'Fu Man Chu' and we both explain the nickname to him. To be honest, he looked more of Hispanic decent than Asian, but whatever, it's a dream.

A basic jump-cut, a doctor says that the blow my Grandmother received from Fu Man Chu broke something or other and would very soon cause her a great deal of pain. I think he actually suggest euthanasia (Though not in those exact words.). My dad goes off to talk to him some more and I'm in some manner of waiting room, which looks to be more for doctors than family members. I notice pictures of various pets and animals (Mainly just a dog though) on a board, then notice a gray cat with long-ish hair and try and get it to come over (Elly, you sneaky sneaky sub.). A guy offers to bring the cat to me as it's just sitting there. I say "Nah, the trick is not to look it in the eyes." (Cat's kinda see that as an aggressive action if you're a stranger.). This goes on for a bit, then the guy comments how "You (The cat) look a bit scruffy, I think you need a brushing.". He walks over to a stack of plastic bins and gets a brush from the top one. I reply jokingly as if he was talking about me "Yeah, I guess my hair is a bit messy."

Cut to a rather strange amalgamation of my previous house and current house. My Grandmother is laying on some kind of combination bed and pool (Ironic, 'cause it's placed where we used to have an actual water bed... Clever Elly.). I check out the pool aspect of it a bit, I close it up and after awhile my dad ads two cream type things to a screw plug. (Yeah, I dunno either.) This kind of starts my Grandmother dying, she's partially in the water. Naturally I'm sad as all hell as stated above, naturally I'm saying things like I love her, don't want to lose her again, etc. Her eyes are gradually getting more closed and, for whatever reason there are whole tomatoes and celery. (Yeah, weird as HELL!) I think the idea was that we were going to make stew out of her?! (What the FUCK!?).

Anyway, I get the heck outta there, crying my eyes out and going towards where the living room would be in the old house. As I'm crying I say to myself "Do a reality check." a couple times. So I do, a plugged nose breathe test (The first of three of my usual RC routine.) and it fails and I become lucid. I look around immediately to look for something to grab (Yay me for remembering to do that.), in this case, it happens to be my computer chair. I make sure to feel the tactile sensations quite vividly, looking at it, calming myself and making things clearer. Once that's done, things are still a bit fuzzy, so I count my fingers on my left hand (12!) and try to vocally clear things up by saying "I want to stay in this dream.". Alas, that dream haze never really leaves. All I managed to do beyond that was look out my kitchen window (The window of my current house.) and see two large military vehicles, camouflage and everything. (Ding! Crap, now I remember my dream before this one!). I say to myself "Wow" and I wake up. Actually, I wake up because my breathing was getting really weird like I needed a puff of asthma medicine. @_@

Not much going on, but at least I managed an LD longer than 3 seconds.

Pretty sure I was in the preliminary of another DEILD. All I remember was doing the nose breathe reality check in the void. I took a couple good deep breaths with my nose plugged and attempted to escape the void. But alas, it was not to be.

This one was so short I'm not going to include it in my tally, but I'll mark it here none-the-less.

    9. Regrets and the moon

      by , 10-23-2010 at 09:21 PM
Probably my shortest non-being-awakened LD... In fact I know it.

I was walking around some girls house I knew in like... Kindergarten to 4th grade. She's showing me around, I see her mother, and mention that i had never been to her house before (Which is true.). She leads me up to an open air deck, the moon is full and frikkin' HUGE. We both take a seat, she's a crossed from me sitting on a couch looking thing with the moon in the sky directly to the right of her (My left.). I get the idea to do an RC, so I do (Nose breathe, as usual.) and it fails. I say to myself 'Figures' but I don't stabilize or anchor... Buh.

Anyway, I don't get excited or anything, but I do ask her: "T, have you ever done anything you truly regret?" (The dream before this one, I was saying goodbye to all my high school buddies and teachers, something I never really did for the most part in real-life. Likely why I asked that particular question.). She looks to her left (My right) in the distance and I lose lucidity.

So, a short one yes, but I think there's something to be said about becoming lucid two nights in a row... Even if the second time was only for about 30 seconds.

    10. Forest of the DEILD

      by , 10-23-2010 at 05:42 AM
I'm beginning to think either I have a knack for pulling off DEILDs post LD, or I'm good at doing it within' my dreams. Either way, I'm not complaining, any way to lengthen an LD is okay with me.

Anywho, rather strange how easily I can believe that I am NOT dreaming sometimes when I do RC's in dreams. I suspect my subconscious or an unusually successful MILD came into play getting me lucid this morning, as the dream character next to me mentioned twice that I was dreaming. Actually, this lucid was the first time that the nose plug test worked as it should have in real life, at least at first, though in total, it took me 4 RCs (1 working nose, 2 failing nose, and one finger count.) to get me all lucid.

The dream itself was fairly unremarkable as far as lucids go, as I exhibited VERY little control over it. I tried many a time to change the dream scape to one of my choosing, and no amount of whirling seemed to change anything. It did, however, calm me down a bit.

At the time, however, my outside environment was... Less than tranquil. TV going, lawnmower outside blaring away, it's a surprise none of these elements bled into my dream.

Oh, of all the things I tried to do in my most recent lucid, I totally forgot to summon my sub again! Blargh! I could kick myself for forgetting that.

The only remarkable thing I tried was willing a doorway to rise from the ground. Sadly did not work. I did exhibit anchoring finally within' my dream, and really got to feel the tactile realism within' the dream for the first time I can recall. (Well, at least more prominent this time than others.)

Like I said, the dreams themselves were quite mundane. First was simply at my house, furniture was re-arranged, my sister and a good friend of mine was there, my dog makes his second appearance since I've started my dream journal. It didn't last long before I slipped into almost awakedness. This was when I DEILD back in, again, failing to get the dreamscape I envisioned.

Second was some manner of forest, I spent a good amount of time trying to get someplace else (Some place more familiar in which to experiment.) but several whirl attempts and the aforementioned door summoning all proved useless. I eventually gave up and just explored a bit. At one point I was slipping into the void (A black spot in the center of my vision.), but managed to stave it off with hands stare and a spin. (Done correctly for a change.)

After that, a bear attacked me and bit my thumb. I basically hug it into docility and asked it what it represented. It responded with, and I kid you not, "Heck if I know, I'm just a bear!" in a very dopey voice.

Anyway, while mundane as far as my LDs go, it DOES mark the first one that has taken place outdoors for a decent amount of time. But a lot of missed opportunities. =( I guess I need to read up more on dream control.

    11. Born to be WILD... Kinda.

      by , 10-18-2010 at 08:47 PM
Boy howdy, I sure am adept at doing WILD techniques... But only when I'm already asleep! >:/ I'm wondering if there's a specific term for doing a WILD in a dream, or if it's considered a straight up DILD. Either way, this makes my second dreaming WILD.

Barring the details of my non-lucid (Fairly uninteresting, snowy street, jammed VCR I unjam, a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio.) I basically fall asleep in my dream and WILD. Though not as cleverly disguised as my first dream WILD, I still think how I can check that off on my October goal... At least for a moment, I realize fairly quickly after becoming lucid that I just dream WILDed. Anyway, I go through the motions of a WILD. Vague images, sudden feeling of acceleration, for a moment, I see a faint image of my kitchen and think that's where I'll be going in my dream.

Instead, I find myself just falling through a dark cloudy sky completely lucid. I wasn't scared at all (In fact, I can count on one hand how many times, total, I've been scared since keeping a dream journal, and all 3 are jump scares.). First thing I do is try to spin and change scenery, of course repeating I'm lucid, I'm dreaming, etc. Doesn't work, I notice my glasses are about to falloff from the wind of falling, I grab them and realize "I'm dreaming! I don't even need them!" my vision blurs every slightly but becomes clear again shortly after letting them go.

I try spinning again, maneuvering my hands in a way that would make me spin as I fell (I always fell feet first, and never looked up or down.). It works and i laugh joyfully as it does, i then think of stopping my decent by hovering, and slowly I do. I talk myself into it "Just slow things down...", honestly, it was very calming. Eventually I stop, and notice the sky has a very bright crescent moon, and it looks like it's on a giant dark blue wall in the distance.

I say to myself "Alright Zed, get ready for some dreaming.".

I then wake up. >;( I try to DEILD back into the dream like last time, but it doesn't work. (I suspect I was only in the void last time when I DEILDed back into my dreams.) Again, noticing the absolute dryness of my mouth. In total, I think I was lucid... Maybe a couple minutes? Certainly longer than my first dreaming WILD, but still not what I'd consider a 'Lucid dream'.

Still, it was interesting feeling the sensation of falling like that.

    12. Two-goals one cup.

      by , 10-16-2010 at 06:46 PM
Shazam, out of the blue two goals, one a yearly, checked and in the bag!

Both having met my subconscious and held a conversation (Kinda) with it, that marks them off the goal list. I even got to try more interesting techniques.

Strangely, it all started out as a dream where I was on an island (Beaches are my go-to scenery for first dreaming when I'm MILDing, has t'do with the Drawing of the Three by Stephen King, and it's easy to visualize a plane of yellow next to a plane of blue.). Kind of video-gamish (A common theme in my dreams, I'm such a loser.), I was with my dad, looking at the craziness. I remember wondering what it would be like to open the console with an interface like this (I think I thought I was in virtual reality.).

Hilariously enough, I tried the nose breathe RC a few times just to see how it would work in this *Ahem* game. And was surprised when it failed each time, but I seriously had a derp moment as despite having done it at least 3 times, I still thought it was reality.

It wasn't until the appearance (And mosaic disappearance, like he was being censored on TV because he didn't sign a consent form.) of a recently deceased friend of mine that I think I started to get the idea that i was in a dream. Though that particular setting would change before I would get to be lucid in it.

I think I actually started to wake up at that point, and was in a semi-void for a bit. But I'm pretty sure I DEILDed back in. (This is actually a first for me, and I do it multiple times during this!). I'm no where near lucid at this point, I see my sister playing with two dogs upon a hill near a house in the snow (One I'm pretty sure is my dog, the other the dog of the aforementioned recently deceased.), the two dogs maul a guy (as they're both off their leashes.) and paramedics arrive. The dream changes focus and I'm walking past a fast food place with the doors open in wintertime.

Tactile sensations are pretty rare in my dreams at the moment, but I remember feeling the slight icy covering of snow on objects as I walked by. Eventually, I see my dad next to what looks like his car. He has me drive (the drivers seat is on the passenger side.) and the interior is very futuristic looking. I don't know my destination, so I use some kinda HUD navigation system, I dunno if it worked but I found myself at some kinda clinic. Police are standing off against some lady in a wheelchair (Possibly my sub!), I usher her inside, do a RC and approach the bar inside. The lady orders a drink, and the bartender asks me "Do you remember?", I reply with "Remember what?". Boom, I'm in the void, possibly even waking up again.

Not only did I DEILD (Possibly.), but I continued the dream from last time for the most part. Me and the lady have our drinks (I'm not drinking cause, well, I don't in real-life.). This part is hazy, but I know I end up in the void AGAIN.

I try a few things to escape the infinite blackness, spinning, sudden acceleration. But it wasn't until I felt what was in front of me that I found a way to escape. Whatever was in front of me felt like laminated cardboard, so I punched a hole, it took a bit for the dream to form, but I was looking at a cardboard wall with a hole in it. I stabilize and clarify by looking at the details of the hole, things clear up and I look through the hole. There were a bunch of people in... Cat suits? Dancing and whatnot in a circle, they all look at me so I just turn around and find myself in dimly lit hallways (Another common theme in my dreams.). I get it in my head that nearby is a door, behind which is my subconscious. I turn left and enter that door. Inside are a bunch of stuffed animals (A throw-back to my very first LD!) on chairs and hanging from the ceiling, and inside is a lady with poofy brown hair in some manner of white garb.

A little backstory here. When I was a kid, I had a few times where I dreamed of a person, about my age at the time. She was a little african-american girl I had never seen before, and I knew her name was Elvira. When I started taking an interest in lucid dreaming, I figured this may have very well been my subconscious. I only dreamed of this person about 3 times, but it popped back into my memory since starting a dream journal.

Lucid dream number... 2 or 3, I found a cat (Can't remember if I wrote about it here... I should start a reality journal.) who had a name tag of 'Elly'. Now, maybe it was just me looking for meaning in a completely random name, but I equated this as a clever-arse trick by my sub. I thought 'Elly' was short for 'Elvira'.

Anywho, back to the lady with brown hair. I asked if she was 'Elly', and she said yes. At this point I believed that this was my subconscious. She lead me into another hall, and i remember saying "It's nice to finally meet you.", we shake hands, but she's mostly looking to the left of me. I remember saying "I'd appreciate some help becoming lucid, and in particular appreciate this lucid dream.". She then lead me into a room, where this guy scared the utter bajesus outta me (Jump-scare.), my sub said something at this point, but I can't remember what. The guy gets another good scare on me before laughing and becoming all buddy buddy with me. At that point I woke up for good this time, as I noticed how dry my mouth was.

Actually, the avatar for my sub, I may have met in a previous dream I had that night. It may have been my sub all along during that too. I was in a hospital setting (Again, common theme in my dreams.) and some lady was following me around, she was acting all crazy like... I think she wanted to jump my bones or something... Anyway, I managed to peel her away from me somehow by signaling to the staff or something. But her resemblance to Elly, in retrospect, was pretty similar.

Oy, it's nice being able to write more than just a paragraph.

Shazam, one monthly goal down, 2 t'go.

LD 3 is in the bag, I'm a bit sad I didn't remember to try and summon my Sub (Or for that matter, talk to anyone/thing...) but I did try some tests and expressed a bit of dream control. It's also my first LD where I didn't HAVE t'do 2 RCs (Though I did RC twice out of choice.)

Can't write out the entire thing, but it was a mostly easily interpreted dream. Of note of the things I did were: Enter a mirror, summon 3 weapons, will clarity, test a 'head shake' (Instead of a spin... Worked... At the cost of lucidity.)

I'll also note I didn't need to calm myself after becoming lucid. (Though I should've gone through the motions anyway...)
    14. LD numero dos!

Huzzah! This puts me almost to my goal for this month! I even managed to do a successful stabilize and dream spin. (Though the stabilize didn't last long.)

Anywho, this makes my first confirmed successful MILD. Like my first LD, I ended up doing 2 RCs. After my first RC, I stabilized my excitement by looking at my left hand with great interest for a bit, this cleared things up and kept me from waking up... However, I somehow got the idea that a plane was going to crash into the room.

It did and everything froze and went dark, so I spun (Repeating 'You're dreaming' to not lose lucidity) and when I stopped there was an out of focus square white light. I wen towards it and it put me in a new dream. I RCed again and woke up.

Huge success! Truncated heavily, but I'm still on a character limit.

    15. The whole of goals

I may not be able to verbatim my dream journal, but at least I can write down my month/year goals I suppose.

      October's goals
      1. Have greater-than or equal to 3 LDs this month.
      2. Successfully preform a WILD
      3. Talk to someone/thing in a LD.

      Year goal
      1. Learn the meaning of at least one of 'the big four'
      2. Have at least 1 LD a week on average.
      3. Have subconscious make me lucid in a dream.

Obviously I don't have a high enough character limit to explain in full 'the big four', but I will say that they are the most significant dreams I've ever had. (Ordinarily, before training myself dream recall I could barely remember one dream a month. But the big four were clear as a bell, and are mostly very clear in my memory.)
