The only difference is that with riding a bike you can see people riding their bikes. But with Lucid Dreaming all you get is "I had one tonight" but without visual its nothing really. That's how I feel right now.
Even if you can't see people doing it, it does not mean it's fake or anything like that, that's you that haven't experienced it yet. And people took time to learn how to ride their bikes, right ? Some even fell a lot of times before learning it.

You where registered on Aug 2010 - I don't know if you had heard about lucid dreaming in the past - don't you think it's too soon to be mad at not being able to LD ? I know you probably have read through the forums, and you know that it's something that takes time. I wouldn't be mad if I was you, I had to practice for about a year or so.

You don't need the sleep blinker things - novadreamer etc - you just need confidence, something you are lacking at the moment, and, of course, practice; practice makes perfection. Stick with your DILD, but try new things, like WILD - there are people who can easly LD with WILDs even if a beginner. Your excuse for learning lucid dreaming is ''because it's cool and everybody is loving it"? I think you need a motive for yourself; first, why do you want it ? Answer it for yourself

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
