Thread: Hello Everyone

Decided I should probably make a profile on here after starting a Dream Journal of my own, beginning to work on lucidity. I already read many of the tutorials, and I can see this is probably the best site for advice and discussion, so here I am.

I figure I have a pretty good head start toward my first LD since I've been able to remember dreams for a long time. I can remember fragments of dreams I had years ago, so I hope that helps. However, I have never really "analyzed" them in the form of a dream journal.

Already though, I think I might have encountered my first dream sign, but I'm questioning its "legitimacy", for lack of a better word. Two nights in a row, in my dream I noticed a truck (the first night), and then a van (the second night) being involved in a vehicular activity, and then for no apparent reason, slamming down on one side, as if someone had dropped it from a height of a couple feet. I remembered upon waking that this was physically impossible in the real world, so does this constitute a dream sign? Or should they be more obvious, like...a more obvious dream sign? lol. I'm not sure what they all are yet, seeing as how I'm only now staring to look for them.

It could be a dream sign. But keep writing down your dreams and once you have a decent amount, then you can really tell what your dream sign is. Welcome to DV

Any reoccurring element, like that, can be a dream sign. If you are going to get in the habit of reality checking every time you see your dream sign, you can be more general. Maybe reality check every time you see a car, or something. That would be a lot of reality checking
