my dreams are odd

How do i explain this. ok

My dreams are like a spike milligan show (things randomly change for no reason) or a monty python episode (similar to spike milligan show).

I will be doing one thing in a dream, then i think of something else and im all of a sudden in that surrounding i was thinking of or had a sort of idea of.

I hope that makes sense.

Also, some people in my dreams, mainly the people i want in my dreams, are usually deformed, e.g: there face is completely different, and other things just don't seem right. and then sometimes, the face of the person will completely change again. this is usually with people i want in my dream.

I am pretty depressed and i hang by myself and do my own thing. Could this be affecting my dreams?

Or am i just watching to much spike milligan and monty python?

Dreams are strange and illogical for everyone. It has to do with the way our mind stores and organizes information. It doesn't sort things like a library, it connects little bits of things like a giant knotted web. When you are remembering or imaging something, your mind jumps along these seemly random connections. It also tends to exaggerate and distort images like people's faces. In fact, that's why caricatures and cartoons can be more recognizable that real human faces, because features like the eyes, nose, and ears are exaggerated. All of these oddities are more apparent in dreams because the more logical parts of our waking mind are turned off.

So the TV programs you watch might influence the places and people in your dreams, but you shouldn't fear that they are affecting the way you think or dream in a negative way. Same goes for your lifestyle. Practice becoming lucid and you can explore these dreams more deeply!

To put it another way, it's likely that style of comedy is influenced by dreams rather than the other way around.

About the scene jumping part, I recommend that you should first stabilize your mind, calm it down, that way a scene might stay longer. Try One Point meditation for this.

ok, so last night, my dream was ramdom again. it was like i was watching an episode of a british comedy "last of the summer wine". like, i was watching it in my dream, but i was able to walk round where the people are talking and was like actualy walking where the scene takes place. its hard to understand. then all of a sudden, i walk through what appears to be my back door, i am in the dining area, with this scene from this show happening outside my backdoor, then i end up in my lounge, and im watching a british music show "Top of the Pops" (i have watched both of these shows heaps lately).

can somebody explain this?

i remember it didnt add up, as i was watching top of the pops on a vcr (we dont have a vcr in our lounge since like 3 yrs ago) and in my dream, we had our old sony trinitron tv, which was got rid of in 2004.

I also disitinctly remember 3 girls singing on this show on the tv. i can not remember the song, but it was very familiar.

That's happened to me in dreams on two different occasions. I was watching a TV show, but at the same time, I was in the scenes. I thought it was pretty cool.
