Hi,

I just recently took and interest in dreams, and especially lucid dreams. What peaked my interest initially was something I read in a conversation between the Dailai Lama and scientists on sleep. Experienced yogis can go through the 4 stages of sleep while they're conscious, and they frequently use dream yoga for personal growth and spirtiuality.

I've noticed since I've been meditating that I have experienced lucid dreaming on several occasions, dreamed I was a different person, or in one case, a rat, have had flying dreams, and dying dreams. I'm only now learning the benefits of what we can do in and through the dream world, and I'm really exicted about the possibilities.

I've always considered myself a vivid dreamer. I dream a lot, and usually remember them. Or so I thought. I read I should keep a dream journal and write the dream down immediately. I thought, I don't need that! So, last night I had this vivid dream. I awoke from it and tried to remember all the details before going back to sleep. This morning, I can't remember anything of the dream, not one detail! I definitely need to use a dream journal.

Do we have to journal forever? Or can you drop it at some point? I hate the idea of waking to write in the middle of the night. I generally wake from dreams four or fives times a night. Is this normal? Do I have to write every dream down?

Thanks! This forum and site looks really great. Dana
