Well I see lucidity having different levels, from level 0 all the way through to level 4, level zero being when you know something is not right yet you do not realise you are dreaming all the way through to level four when you are fully conscious in the dream state and have full dream control. What you experienced is a level 1 minor basically you become aware you are dreaming but suddenley wake up, this is a lucid dream my dirst one was similar, I fell down a cliff and landed on my neck and I was still alive so I said I must be dreaming bang, im awake. You are on the right track good luck |

Lucid?
Hey guys I just joined but have been browsing this site for awhile. Last night I had a dream where I was writing a letter to someone. I rememb I was getting very bored because the letter seemed to go on forever. I told myself that didnt need to keep writing it because I was dreaming. Suddenly I woke up, and did a couple of reality checks to make sure I wasnt still dreaming. I was in fact awake after all.
So my question is, should I consider that my first lucid, or was it just a plain old dream?
