It's actually not new. But I've read about some people, on these very forums, who have bought the REM Dreamer and had success with it. I'm actually considering getting one myself.

      Sounds kinda snake-oily to me.

"For only $19.95 you too can have lucid dreams! Those little LEDs can help you do whatever you want! Fight crime! Fly through the air! Sleep with Natalie Portman!! Order in the next fifteen minutes and we'll throw in the NuvaDream TravelBuddy for free! (Pay only shipping and handling.)"

Shipping and Handling...what's up with that, btw? Shouldn't the act of carrying the box to the truck be covered under shipping? Or am I paying someone to give the box a good frisky rub before it goes in the truck?

And what's the deal with airline food? Pretty bad, right? We can put you in a chair IN THE SKY but we can't figure out how to preserve a chicken breast with veggies? What's the deal with THAT?

Thanks folks- I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your servers.

      Try the veal!

haha I know what you mean, but as I said I've read promising news from some people on these forums who have bought the REM Dreamer.

They say they'll get flashed in the face by a light reflecting off a mirror or a UFO with it's huge bright lights, or something along those lines and that'll make them realise they're in a dream and that the REM Dreamer is flashing at them.

Of course it's still up to you to realise the lights are the REM Dreamer but if you can train yourself to do a reality check, each time you get hit in the face by a bright light, then that'd be a decent way of increasing your chances of having lucid dreams.

It's the same idea as how sounds can get incorporated into a dream; you know when a dream character starts randomly singing the song that your radio alarm clock is playing.

You're right. It works just like a dream sign. These devices don't make you lucid, it's more of an aid, but there are positive reviews around here. I don't have one myself, but I have thought about it.

You can make your own for around 5 bucks, but instead of detecting eye-movements, you need to set a timer instead to guess when your REM period will be.

Still can't beat the price of free of training yourself to do it! But I'm sure it really does help. The only thing that makes me not want one is having red flashing lights during my LD

Well you can program it so that you can turn the lights off, once you're in a lucid dream, by moving your eyes in a certain pattern.
