My first LD, and it was a WILD, or was it?

Oh well, I'm really in a good mood =)
I just got my first glimpse of the LD world and it took me just about a week to accomplish.
I think that I did it using the WILD method, but with the expertice of the people here, I'm sure that I can get some better explanation or even a confirmation to my believes.

      Here's what happened:

I slept for 6h during the night after which time my cellphone timer woke me up. I got up, shut the window since it had been a cold night and went to the bathroom. After that I went straight back to bed(time spent about 5min). I was still kinda sleepy and I remembered the selfsuggestion method. I kept repeating in my head: "Lucid, lucid, lucid, lucid". I just relaxed and fell asleep.

      The dream:

I didn't notice any "WILD-sounds" during the transit from real to the dream. I hear they can be rather annoying and loud. Do we all get them?
I noticed a friend of mine from my old job sitting across from me in a chair. I noticed that I was sitting with a couple of more employees in a group of chairs.
I immidiedly remembered that I could be in a dream already and did the reality check with the breathing method. The air was flowing!! Whee! =)
I asked the guy across me to speak some russian to me, since I recalled reading from here that people in the dream tend to know languages that are strange to them in real life.
He started bable russian in a fluid way. I was very ammused =)
I constantly tried to keep my composure, since I also remember that too much exitement will wake me up from the LD.
Then a person next to me started jumping and shouting: "That's really wicked! Wheee!!!". The dream ended and I awoke.
I cursed out loud: "Why the hell did my sleep end because some poor smuck got too excited!?"
After about 5 sec I realized, that it was me who was that guy since everyone in my dreams are a part of my subconcious mind and don't have a will of their own.
I just started laughing in my bed for being mad to myself and not even realizing it =)

So ppl, what do you make of it? Was this a WILD or just a DILD for what I just can't remember the beginning to?
Dig as much as you like boy. The frost will never end...

To me, it sounds more like a DILD as you got lucid with the help of a reality check. I also think that most people's WILDs start from their own bed. And yes, you don't always get WILD sound, hypnagogic imagery, vibrations or other things during the transition. I think it depends on person and day.

I got my first lucid dreams when trying to WILD too I didn't ever succeed in WILD though, but the self suggestion made me have a lucid dream, just like in your case. So, trying WILD increase chances of getting LD even though you don't succeed in it.

PS. The end of your dream was pretty funny
Don't think about those damn kangaroos.
