I've had 2 or 3 experiences with intense scary SP's a while ago but it hasnt stopped me. Now that I know its just hallucinations I know it cant harm me in any way. |

I have been around here for a month or so, I had one breif DILD and I havent had a lucid dream for a while. I know the reason is because I am somewhat afraid to attempt a WILD or things like that because my previous experiences of sleep paralysis, hallucinations and nightmares are quite intense. I used to have recuring nighmares about being beaten up by a huge pink monster in a hotel made of severed body parts and I would wake up strait into sleep paralysis which was very scary indeed. Ive had very very scary sleep paralysis so clear and vivid I can recall it like it was yesterday even though it was 7 years ago. I dont really experience things like that as much but every now and then I do, and my subconcious can make anything scary. Seriously. The most ridiculous things can be extremely scary in my dreams. Even though nothing bad has happened for a while I am frightened of what I might find in my mind. I know I can do WILDs if I try but I fear my subconscious. Am I overreacting about what pre-WILD hallucinations are like? |

Lucid Goals:
Fly [X] - Nuke something with a Falcon Punch [ ] - Stay lucid for longer than 20 minutes [X] - Lucid Sex [X] - Step through a Stargate and enter a new world [ ] - Save a crashing airliner [ ] - Travel in time with the DeLorean [ ] - Go to Narnia [ ] - Go to Middle-earth [ ] - Pokémon Battle [ ]
You're not alone. The only difference was that I was told the HH were demons. |

You get over it dude. I once did the finger tug RC in a dream. My joints came apart and it caused an immense amount of pain. But guess what, I'm all good. I realise now it was a dream and that there's nothing about that experience that could have hurt me. The same goes for sleep paralysis. |

yeah I guess its time to stop being so anal about it. Im going to try a VILD tonight and Ill come back with the results. Thanks for the encouragement |

Hi there, |
|
This is a classic example of sleep paralysis. A whole lot of people experience something pressing down on them, abnormal noises and such. People think that sleep paralysis happens when your body is awake while your mind is still asleep, when you get your timings wrong. It has actually been happening more to me just lately but not scary just...weird. |
