Interesting. I did a course once on Childhood Developement and learned that 8 is the age when children can first truly conceptualize. I remember when I myself was 8 (an awefully long time ago). It seemed like Conceptualization hit me all in about a week. Everywhere I turned my attention I began to understand things that I had only had explanation for up till then. Suddenly I could simply see how internal combustion motors worked. I could see why the sound of a jet seemed to come from behind the jet. I could understand why incandescent lightbulbs glowed. It was like having a Mental-Intellectual Satori.

Apparently one of the skills you acquired with your new found ability to conceptualize was to understand about Dreaming. I hope you are keeping a journal. It would be in interesting study to see if young adults have a typical progression, that is, a discernable pattern of dreams which anticipate certain scenarios at approximate ages and maturity levels. If several complete journals could be submitted by young people, it could all be boiled down to a very informative book, I suspect.
