      What about doing this?

Instead of staying up for 30-60 minutes after 5hrs sleep to attempt a wild, why not just try to go back to sleep? It seems like it may be a bit harder to keep conscious, but would make up for it by the drastic reduction in time your body would take to go back to sleep I imagine.

Different amounts of time work better for different people. I only stay up for a couple of minutes because if I stay up any longer it's hard for me to fall back asleep. And if I don't get up at all I find it really hard to keep my consciousness. Now if I remember not to move or open my eyes when I awake from a dream, I lay there and try a DEILD. That's been the most effective method for me so far, but I don't always remember not to move right away. I'd suggest trial and error to see what works best for you.
