I started studying lucid dreaming after I had (what I suspect to be) a WILD while napping after work one day.

This happened three days after I had a False Awakening. I dreamed I was walking out of a cabin out of the woods. I felt very high as I was walking out of the cabin. I thought to myself, "How am I high? I haven't smoked any pot in a while. But I definitely feel high." I suspect that this triggered minor lucidity and I tried to wake myself up to stop being high. I awoke on my couch only to find that I still felt very high. I rolled off the couch, my body paralyzed, and the fear from this woke me for real. I was surprised to find that I was still on the couch, and not on the floor, where I had thought I would be.

After that, I was napping and I noticed that, as I was half-awake, I could focus my thoughts on my strange state. The minute that I focused completely on the fact that I was slipping into a dream state, I felt a very sharp and definite sensation overtake my body, as if I were falling suddenly. This was accompanied by a sharp, loud burst of noise and then I had some control over my dreamscape. It was hard to control, as if I were trying to direct a very heavy, powerful machine gun, and after a minute or so, I woke up from excitement.

Since then, I've tried to have a DILD with little success.
