      Rather eventful night...

This night I had 2 lucid moments. Sadly enough nothing much happened, here's how it went.

I set my alarm at 6am, got up and went to the toilet, and went back to bed. I kept focussed on LDing as much as possible, and fell asleep. A dream starts, and while in it I realise I'm dreaming. There was nothing weird going on, I just all of a sudden realise I'm dreaming (pretty much like my first lucid moment a few days ago, I realise I just went to bed and it doesn't make much sense standing somewhere fully dressed.)

Now, I manage to take a look at my hands, and strangely enough I can only see my right hand. It looks pretty normal, except for the fact that my ringfinger is curled to the left in this really weird angle, and also, there was no ring there (a ring which I never take off, so..) At this time, without getting too excited (cuz that got me kicked out a couple of days ago), I get this rushing sensation in my head, which came together with the sound of a big wave crashing in, and I woke up.
Anyone know what caused this? I didn't even get the time to try and stabilize, to touch anything what so ever, I just woke up :s

And then second event: I wake up at 8am, and decide to give FILD a go again. I start moving my fingers at the time where I feel I'm going to drift off to sleep again, and after what seemed about a minute, I pinch my nose and manage to breathe through one nostril. (Which makes sense apparently, I have a cold and when I was awake I notice my other nostril is completely blocked:p)
But nothing else...It was just complete blackness around me, I couldn't visualise anything, didn't want to move too much too because that would've probably snapped me out of it. Being able to do nothing at all managed to get me frustrated, which is what woke me up:p

Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? What caused the "wavesensation" in my head? It was really loud and came from inside my head...
      Are you dreaming?

That wave sound is strange. I've never experienced anything like that. I get a ton of auditory hallucinations as I am falling asleep and entering dreams. I've never had it exiting. Spontaneous middle ear muscle activity is pretty common during REM. Maybe it is all related?

Well since the sound was coming from inside my head it's quite possible that it might be that "spontaneous middle ear muscle activity" That might mean that I woke up because I had NO idea at all what was happening... If it's indeed that, it's good to know that it's common

Yeah it was quite frustrating:p My next lucid moment I will control it, can't be that hard... I've been thinking, if I had opened my eyes while still breathing through my pinched shut nose, I might've actually pulled it off. That's one on my to do list now^^
