      Hey everyone

Hey, ive been checking out this website alot before joining and Im really interested in lucid dreaming. Never really knew it existed. Now that i know, ive been trying to have a lucid dream but it ends up being a regular dream that i cant control or tell im dreaming. Ive beening trying methods like saying, "1-Im dreaming, 2-Im dreaming, etc." I heard it works but i guess im not doing it right. I tried visualization but not sure if im doing it correctly either, and been taking B-6, cause i heard its good for making dreams vivid. Ehhh i guess i need some advice :/

Welcome to the forums! Don't get discouraged, it is incredibly difficult for some to start frequently lucid dreaming or even experience a single lucid dream. Check out some of the tutorials in the respected sections and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I'm assuming you already have a dream journal?

Yeah, I just started my dream journal today, and Ill be sure to check the tutorials. Also, is it okay to recall atleast 1 dream per night, cause i heard somewhere you should recall 2-3 dreams per night?

Remembering 1 dream per night is great if you're just starting out.
This will increase over time, and remembering 2-3 dreams per night is a good goal for the future.

      Good luck!
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

Thanks Hyu. So let me get this straight, enough dream recall can help you attain DILD?

Dream recall is necessary to do DILD's.
It's the most important requirement actually.
Even if you would manage to induce a lucid dream, it will do you no good if you can't remember it.

The key to actually induce a DILD is awareness.
The most common techniques to become aware that you're dreaming is doing Reality Checks and using your Dream Journal to find Dream Signs.

Reality Checks and Dream Journal to find dream signs, got it! I also heard that marking an "A"(which stands for Awake) on your palm so that when you notice it in you waking life, your reminded to check to see if your awake or not and then if you do it enough, you'll eventually see it in your dreams and may become lucid. Not that i have tried it, yet but i might. But anyways thanks for the advice.
