      Yay, an LD!

Well, I finally experienced my first real LD. I don't think I was completely lucid, but its the most awareness I have achieved so far. I slept for 5 hours, and got up at 3:00 am, and stayed up for about 30 minutes. I was attempting a WILD, so when I got back in bed, I closed my eyes and tried to remain conscious, sadly I my thoughts drifted a little and I became unconscious. However, I then woke up in my bed, or so I thought. I looked at my watch once, turned it away, and then looked at it again and noticed the time completely changed. First it said like 5, and it changed to 3 something after a 2nd look. And it changed after a 3rd look too, I even pinched my nose to see If I could still breathe, and I could, which was pretty cool =P. This definately made me realize I was dreaming, so even though I failed at the WILD attempt, I still achieved lucidity through a DILD. After realizing I was dreaming I got up from my bed and left my room to the kitchen. I noticed my dad was there, and so I attempted to make him realize he was in a dream (I guess I must have lost some lucidity since I didn't realize he was a dream character at the time). So first I showed him how the time on my watch changed, then I attempted to move my index finger through the palm of my hand, which I did successfuly(it was pretty cool looking, heh), I think I managed to convince him too. A small part of this dream after that had been lost. However I remember another part of the dream where I had a false awakening, thought I really was awake and freaked my dad out by telling him about the dream and how he had the same one. Then I woke up for real, lol. Anyways, through the part of the dream that I was lucid, everything still wasn't as clear as I thought it would be, so even though I was aware of the fact that I was dreaming, I didn't have a very vivid dream. Also, I didn't really do much either =/. But it was still pretty cool!

Wow dude congrats on your lucid! It sounds like it was much more exciting then my first one.

Your lucids will only get longer and more vivid now. Keep at it!
