Thread: New Guy here

I've been trying to get registered here for over a week & finally got on. I've been reading all the newbi sticky's in the mean time. I'm very interested in learning how to control my dreams, I've been interested in this for a very long time. I'm guessing at least 25 years ago I read an article in a magazine but never really got anywhere with it, it had some exercises to do right before you would go to sleep. I have had a "flying" dream a very long time ago & I remember it perfectly to this day like I had that dream last night. I can recall the exact place the flight took place. I started to run as fast as I can & just dove head first with my arms stretched out in front of me like superman would. I was flying about 3 or 4 feet above the ground, it only lasted a short time & was really cool. Now that there is such a thing as the internet, didn't have that back then, I have found this sight & hope to learn how to control my dreams. I'm not interested in flying anymore, just learning how to "wake up" in my dream. This seems to be my biggest issue & hope the members here can teach me how to do that. OK, I guess that's it for now. Have you read the reality check tutorial? Dreamviews has a lot more information to get you started than a 25 year old magazine

Thanks, I'm looking forward to getting into this. The magazine I referred to was something I read 25 years ago, not recently.
EDIT: I've been reading all of the tutorial's in the newbi section along with the ones posted above. The only problem I feel I'm going to have & need help with is the dream signs & reality checks. Are there things I need to do before sleeping? Like think of what I want to dream about & focus on that subject? Everything I've been reading kind of assume's you know your dreaming & go's from there. If someone could help me get to that point I think I could really run with it. Thanks, MAXX
