      My first Lucid Dream!

I want to thank you all here at dreamviews. A friend showed me this site some days ago, i read a little about LD and decided to try it. The second night i tried it I succeded in becoming lucid! It was great!

My dream became Lucid after I had seen a huge band of orcs running by, and realized it had to be a dream. I got really excited and decided to fly, because I've always wanted to dream I'm flying, but never done it, except in airplanes that i cant steer. So I ran up to the top of a really tall tower, and jumped off, head first. I failed though, and smashed hard into the ground. But I didn't care at all, since I knew I was dreaming, so I decided to try agian. I didn't want to run all the way up again though, so I teleported myself up and jumped off again. And this time i flew. It was not really like i wanted it though, i wanted to fly like superman, but instead got a pair of silly small wings that barely kept me up. Then I suddenly saw myself from the outside, and it became a videogame. I was supposed to fly around the tower and catch differentcolored things in the air. I didn't like this though, since I wanted it to feel realistic, so I tried to change back to firstperson view, and found out that i could change between several different views, like in a videogame. So I changed back, and soon after, I woke up.

I was not lucid for long, and didn't have that much control either, but it still feels like a giant leap for me. I am eagerly awating my next lucid dream.

Welcome to our friendly site. Also, I love video games, too, & cannot stop having LDs about them! Video Games totally rock!

Hey GnT Congrats on the first LD. It sounds better than my first one, where all I did was get excited that I was lucid But hey, lucidity in itself is cool.

Anyway, check out the "Dream Control" forum and there's a ton about flying in there. In my profile there's a link to one in particular that has a lot of different ideas you can look through.

Glad to have you aboard! Sweet lucid dreams!

Thank you guys! I would like my LD to be less blurry though, it felt unclear much like a regular dream, but it may also be my bad ability to remember dreams that's fooling me. But im struggeling to improve in that area too, I started using a dream journal this morning, and I will try to use it every day. I hope that will help me.

See you in my dreams! 8) Goodnight....
