Just wanted to say hello to all. I'm looking forward to to learning and sharing. When I talk to people about lucid dreaming they think I'm in it because of Inception. THat's not true, however, it was a movie that turned me on to lucid dreaming, Waking Life. That got me in to lucid dreaming so I picked up LaBerge's book. I've always had good dream recall but that book helped with state testing and such. That book also led me to my first lucid dream. Since then I haven't looked back. Had a lot of trouble maintaing lucidity but recently have had success with the whole closing my eyes technique and have extended my lucid dreams to about 5 min. I still don't have the ability to control my dreams, if I try to change too much I wake up. If I just go with the flow the dreams last longer. I'm extremely interested in something I read on Wiki about the different types of lucidity. For instance, while lucid I often believe that close friends of mine are dreaming with me but I recognize that strangers are just part of the dream. Well that's a long hello. Once again I'm exited to find this forum and look forward to talking to some people who share my passion for this amazing experience. |
