So I'm kinda new and last night was my first try at a Lucid dream

So I'm kinda new and last night was my first try at a Lucid dream...
      First of all...
I had a Lucid dream when I was really little, I remember it being a nightmare and I could hear my own voice telling my dream self to put down this cursed rock I had picked up, but besides my consciousness and my demanding, I had no control. Then last night my best friend, meta2, told me to watch a Lucid dream inductor that he linked me to and then to go to sleep, which I did. I think ended up having 3 lucid dreams last night, but I'm not entirely sure how it would be categorized so now I'm super interested.

      So here was what happened...

Before I went to sleep I watched the Lucid dream video (I didn’t listen to the mp3 first because I didn’t have head phones)

I was walking to some place north; it had to do with some hunt I was on for a certain book. I walked north through a sidewalk-width path and it was very forest-y (note: not jungle-y). I arrived at some little shack or maybe it was a library of some sort? I received the book, it was old-looking and completely made out of leaves and coffee-stained old papers. I brought it back to where I started where I was inside a store of some sort? I was friends with the owner I think, he might have been related to me in some way? There was a tiny pocket dictionary sitting on the corner of the cashier desk, which I took, saying that it was exactly what I was looking for because it has (certain large amount) of words in it. He claimed that it only had 105, because that’s what it said that it had, but I claimed that it must be some mistake because the book was very thick and small and had tiny print, like any other pocket dictionary. The little book was royal-blue and square-shaped. Then the scene switched.

I remember sitting in a bunk at my sleepaway camp, with a girl and our counselor, and then we ended up down at some kind of water game that I didn’t know how to play. We sat in the bleachers which I’m pretty sure were either half-way in the pool or right where the pool’s edge is. I took part in it by bouncing the ball back into the game a couple times, and I took lots of pictures with this odd film camera that used string for film. It reminded me a lot of those chalk lines that we use in shop class at school. I kept accidently exposing the “film” (string) and was worried the pictures were ruined, but somebody reassured me that the string being exposed is fine and the pictures will come out fine. After the game when everyone was walking around on the court (which was next to the pool, I’m pretty sure it was a tennis court, but the net wasn’t there at the time) and hanging out and talking about the game, I remembered what my friend had told me before I went to sleep, that if I start Lucid dreaming and realizing that I’m dreaming: to rub my hands together and then randomly spin around in circles and then the scene of the dream would change. So I rubbed my hands together and nothing happened, and then I got out of my seat on the bleachers and started randomly spinning around on the court. I felt myself slipping, like I was losing a hold of the dream, and I woke up. Or so I thought…

I woke up in a bed with my pink blanket (although I fell asleep with my brown blanket) in a house that I didn’t completely recognize. Nobody was home, so I went out the door and it was a neighborhood I didn’t recognize. I knew that I had to go to one of the houses and apologize for something that had to do with the camera, although I can’t remember what exactly. And then as I was apologizing, my dad spotted me and he was upset with me, I can’t remember why. And I was trying to explain my dream to him and what happened with the whole Lucid dream thing, but I couldn’t and I was scared. This was a nightmare. This was a nightmare…I realized that I must have actually been dreaming again! I tried to wake up, and I did…so I stupidly thought again…

I woke up, same bed, same house, same neighborhood, but I found my dad and he took me “home” to his house where my grandpa and my uncle Neal were both sitting in blue pajama gowns, hunched over some oatmeal or pudding or something of that sort that they were eating. This seemed completely normal to me (even though my uncle and grandpa live in Costa Rica and my grandfather can’t talk much) and I told them something about my dream and described it as “loose” because I felt that it wasn’t as strong and vivid as it was supposed to be, and then when I said “loose” they misunderstood me and started talking about their…inappropriate dreams that they’ve had. This really grossed me out, so my dad and I left the room and then I woke up. For real this time.

Well, what would you consider this first try?

EDIT: I just remembered another part of my dream. I remembered it it when I went to text my friend. All I remember is that I was texting him asking when his audition date is for this high school we're auditioning for and he said he decided not to audition and I was super upset and then I think I realized again that I was dreaming and tried to wake up but I can’t remember.

Wow you have excellent recall for being so new :p That's probably the hardest step for LDing.

Anyway were you aware you dreaming during the first section? Or did it only kick in during the camp dream? And then I'm assuming you forgot and became lucid again during the third dream?

You done everything right though, you managed to stabalize the dream with the rubbing of the hands, not getting to excited. You'll have many more succesful LDs in your future if you keep practicing it

Thank you, I used to be able to remember my dreams very vividly everyday, but lately I've been having trouble so I'm happy that trying out LD is helping me with recall.

I was not aware I was dreaming during the first section, yes it only kicked in during the camp dream and then once I had the false awakening I thought that I was awake, and then I became lucid again (and so on).

      Yay!
