      YES!!!!

My first lucid!!! Well actually it's not but it's my first one after being educated about lucidity. But I've controlled a dream before and I always know I'm in dreams so I guess you oould say I'm born with it.

Well any ways, it was really short but now I know I can do it. Well what happened was suddenly I was in a dream. Like I was in my front yard but it was REALLY blurry, then I tryed to do the palm reality check. And my finger couldn't go within a foot of my palm. LOL I have no idea how I knew I was dreaming but just like sudenly I was lucid and I was trying stuff. Then after the finger thing I just took it I was dreaming. But then I knew it was getting blurry so I tryed looking at my hands and they were gone!!! ROFL Well they weren't gone but when I looked down my fingers started disapearing untill it got to my wrist. That was funny. But after that I tryed spinning and I couldn't spin. But then the dream was over. Or at least couldn't remember. Oh and the night before I was working on recall and I got 3 dreams! lol Sorry I just really like this and I've only been doing it for like a week.

P.S. I think it was WILD but I don't know. It probably was on accident cause I woke up in the middle of the night then went to sleep and I think that's when it happeded.

      Welcome neighbor!

I live in one of those little specks on the map in Kansas so, comparetively speaking to the international nature of this site, we are practically neighbors!

Congrats on the LD! Sounds like you have some natural ability there. As far as your attempts at solidifying the dream, another technique one can use is staring at the ground (If you find you have no hands!) The idea is just to concentrate on something solid and unchanging. Others have said they have luck with just observing for a minute or two without doing anything to solidify the dream. Don't get allarmed if you find youself missing things. I don't believe it's that uncommon. Some have reported not having a body at all, and other weird things like being able to see 360 degrees.

      Have fun!

      LOL, whats up neighbors?

I have the same problem, but am slowly getting better at it. I tried spinning in circles, like I've seen mentioned, and it prolonged the dream but only for a little bit then i had to spin again and then i awoke. I think it just takes practice ...

My first LD was somewhat long (I dunno how). My second LD I woke up seconds after realizing i was lucid. My third I was lucid for about 1 minute in dreamworld time (this was when i tried the spinning in circles) and my most recent I was lucid for even longer (I had a false awakening, and two steps outa my bed i became lucid ... maybe 5 minutes dream time?)

Im getting ready for bed here in about 1/2 an hour, hopefully I'll have some LDs. I had the 2 most recent this afternoon, I find its really easy for me to WILD when im taking a nap. Im gonna try again when i go to bed.

Anyways I guess the best thing is practice. practice, practice, practice! and good luck
      Just let me go..
