Hello, I am new. Here are some things about me.

Hello everyone. I am new to this site or any site like it. I searched website slightly out of desperation. Here is my history:

Ever since I was able to even remember, i have always known in my dream that i was dreaming. I will just say that it started when i was 4, because that's as far back as i can remember. As an infant i had horrible nightmares and, knowing it is a dream, i told myself to just open my eyes and i will wake up. This is how it started, whenever i was scared i would open my eyes and wake up. That would be almost every other hour. I remember every dream after i wake up, and i remember every dream in my life worth remembering. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending) I sill wake up every hour to every other hour. I suppose this helps me when it comes to remembering dreams. It is only now that i am older (24 yrs old) that i found out i was lucid dreaming. Not only did i find out i was always lucid dreaming, but that not everyone can do it (or even remember their dreams).

At the moment however, things are starting to become difficult. I'm not content with merely knowing i'm dreaming and going along with what is happening around me. There's a person in my dream that i'm trying to find, but when i get in my dream i forget to look for that person. It is driving me mad. One time it worked when i repeated to myself my task and went into rem while still being awake and then falling asleep. But it isn't working now. Should i just be patient and keep trying? Do you know anything that might help?

      Thank you all.
