      In All Fun.

How long before the "Lucid Dreaming Headset". Would this be "Social Control A Go Go". Just think of the savings.

Just hope it has a "Safety Cut Out Switch". Christmas No1 toy 2007 ?. I'm sure some Government already has this technology and has done for years.

Well, so far there's not really a "dreaming headset" but other things have been developed to try and induce lucid dreaming. For example, the Nova Dreamer was a sleep mask that the person wore. It would measure eye movement and detect when the person was in REM sleep and shine a red light into the person's eyes. The theory was that the user would see the red light in their dreams in some form and become lucid. That device was discontinued, though, while a new product is being developed by the Lucidity Institute.

There was also a project going on in the Research Forum, but I think time has slowed down the designers

You can also use your computer (if you have one in your bedroom) to try and induce lucidity. For example, have a wav or mp3 file pop up at a designated time to ask "Are you dreaming?" Then you might hear it in your dreams and become lucid.
