      Newbie saying hi...

      Hey guys,

I dont know where to start. I have so much i wanna share. I guess il start with where i got in contact with this forum?

I have always known that there is a greater meaning with life. From when i was a child i could experience strange things i never could explain. Feeling stuff around me and having lucid dreams. Not in control of them but lucid non the less. I never knew why i dreamt this way and i stopped caring when i was in the age of meeting girls.

Fast forward to this year and from no where i start to think about these dreams i had when i was younger, so i start to talk with my cousin who is somewhat all into this meditate stuff and our purpose in the world. He opened up my mind to wanting to know more and searching for the questions i had. My number one question is what is my purpose in the world. Am i really only a human who is supposed to walk the same f**king way to work and do the same f**king thing and always wanting more and more? Something deep inside of me tells me that this is not the case. I have been ignoring this feeling for a long time but i have always felt unhappy. I have a good job, i get girls easy. Have alot of friends. But still i felt this unhappiness(i think this is a word?) inside of me. Untill i came across your forum. I starting reading peoples dream journals and i got more and more interested in this sort of stuff. I felt almost like home. My goal with lucid dreaming is to get to know my sub conscious more. I belive that the dreams that we dream are there for some reason. Not just for the sake of dreaming or letting our minds rest.

Ok enough with the ramble, Il get to the more interesting part. Last night i was practicing the way of WBTB. While i was lying in bed i could actually feel the my sub conscious pull me into the dream world. (I think this is what happend) Cause i could feel like my spirit was leaving my body. And then POOF! i was in a dream.

Im in a building, its a big building but i dont realise that im dreaming. It feels almost like a movie being played out in front of my eyes. First Person view that is. I can see a male with a cape and a girl running to catch me. I felt like i was the bad guy of the movie so i started to run.As i look back to see where they are while running i can see that the dude now has a superhero outfit. Suddendly i realise that i am dreaming and the ohh shit moment comes. It was a f**king awsome feeling. It felt so real. I looked at the ceiling and POOF! I started rising fast as hell, i flew out of the building and the superhero came after me. I can still feel the joy of realising that i am dreaming and i can do what ever i can. So i start to fly faster and laughing because it was so exciting. The faster i flew the more blurry it became and then..... i was awake.

Know my question to you guys is, Whas this a lucid dream with control or was it a semi lucid dream with semi control? Because from the beginning i could't control shit and it felt "dreamy" if you know what i mean. But after that it was like 70% more lucid when i realised that i was dreaming.

Oh and one last thing. Thank you guys for showing me a world i knew existed but had forgotten....

      PEACE!

You were definitely Lucid dreaming, just not with very much control or stability. But you'll get better at it. And that is also a question a lot of people investigate, and a lot of people believe that their dreams or even themselves can discover it. Me included to a certain extent. Welcome, and I hope you find what you're looking for.

Dreams are the window to our subconsciousness, possibilities are endless, creation is our tool. Who knows what we can discover? Perhaps our brain has stored lore from older generations that can be uncovered? Perhaps our brain is strong enough at night to solve difficult problems?
      Slip inside my head
Watch how my dreams unfold, watch my fantasy in work
Watch the beauty, watch the details. Isn't it amazing?
I love you, and I welcome you into my world

I think we can unlock more % of our brains actual power by understanding the sub consciousness. Just think about the power a human brain actually has but never really learns to control.

Mothers lifting cars by seeing thier babys almost dying from a crushing car.

Autistic people who can remember the number 3.14s decimals. Like up to 20000 i think or something.

People who wake up from a coma and can talk a whole language with out them knowing it before.

People who have near death experience and can see things we cant.

These are just some examples. My question to you is , What does all these people have in common with you and me? Il tell you, they have a brain.

Know what i think is that they have activated certain areas in there brain that we also have but have not activated. Imagine now what would happen if you learned to increase the % of your brain and tap into the powers we have sleeping inside of our brain......

My theory is that there is a way to tap into these powers, and learning to control dreams and learning to have lucid dreams is the door to opening up a whole new fucking way of seeing the world and maybe inducing the spark we need to go further in exploring the brains TRUE power.

You may think that this is total BS and you dont need to agree with me on everything i typed but i would like to hear your guys thougts on this.

      Peace

Well, a lot of these things can be explained, such as the release of adrenaline when someone is in a situation like that, and differences in short and long term memory storage in autistic people, but yeah, it is pretty obvious that we don't completely understand our brains, although I don't think we'll search enough and then discover, say, the meaning of life or anything, simply because I don't believe humans are that smart, and I don't think we're supposed to find out about it.
