      Newbie with a Newbie Experience

Ok, So this is my first posting here.
I have been interested in Lucid dreaming for a long time, but have only accomplished maybe 2 in my life (that I can remember).

So occasionally i still try to go lucid using the WILD technique (though i can never seem to stay awake after the 5-6 hours) I will keep trying though.

Anyways, times that i do try i usually end up lying on my back and waiting for it all to happen. The vibrations usually start and it feels liek waves of energy going over my body. The most interesting sensation is almost a twisting... it feels like the energy is turning over me... onto my side. It is a pretty intense feling, but it is as far as i have gotten. After this happens if i turn on my side... the cycle seems broken and i cant really get to sleep for a while.

Also... i am wondering if silence is necessary.. or if a steady white noise like a fan counter productive to the whole process?

Well i think thats about all i have right now. Hopefullly you will hear from me again. I hope to try the WILD after 6 hours of sleep tonight. maybe ill get it to work.

      Thanks for any responses!

Welcome to the Dreamviews Forum Hendi! :aphiusisonecrazySOB:

You sound like you almost keep getting through WILD! It must be frustrating...

Well, I don't have any experience with WILD outside of trying to do it once or twice, both times unsuccessful...

Seeker would know wether you're close or not.

When I was little and sick I use to have some very odd dreams more like trips than a dream, because they felt so real and freaky like what you were saying about the energy and vibrations.

You're almost there! Just keep on going and set goals.

Having a white noise such as a fan, or a buzzing computer is debatable, but the verdict is that it will help you rather than hurt you. It provides a hypnotic state in some cases, and help in that sense!

*heh, i cant go to sleep without my loyal fan!*

      Welcome!!!!

City if Angels! Only been there once, but liked it! Especially a little north toward Toponga canyon.

Sounds like you are really close. Those energy waves are really cool! Are you to the point yet where the hypnogogic imagery is firming up and you are being pulled into the dream?

I find that as the energy waves start, it feels like I am slowly descending into the dream. *well descending is not eactly right, but is the closest I can come to describing it* Maybe descending through the 4th dimension?
      Just weird.

I use a white noise generator all the time, so if it works for you then use one. Mine drowns out all the little noises like my wif breathing or the dog barking.

The biggest obstacle I have to WILD is that my wife and I have a water bed and I feel any shift she makes.

      Welcome Hendi.

I must say buddy you are almost there. But I think what you are doing is breaking your cycle by either not relaxing enough or just not focusing more. Try to focuse more on breathing as you're going through your Tunnel of WILD's try not to move as much as possible just let all inhabitions go at that point and even though it seems time consuming its merely on a couple minutes. Much Less time then you realize. but mostly focuse on your breathing and your Heartbeat I can usually here mine during WILD's and that is what relaxes me even more so.

      Great advice!

Also, you can focus on hypnagogic imagery too.

      Hallo! Welcome to the forums!

It seems like everyone has already covered your question. So you should give it another go, and don't stop early. It does seem like you are almost there. Good luck.
