      Can anyone relate?

SO... I am fond of dreams... I will post my first serious encounter

ever since I was 15 I've been having off the wall dreams

I was 15 years old laying in my bed next to my nephew watching television, we both fall asleep... the door is locked, window is locked, fan is on, TV is still on...

I awake about an hour later and the TV IS OFF... and I feel the strangest feeling like I'm being watched, my nephew who was quietly sleeping next to me, I looked at the closet, the window, the door and I felt a presence it was wierd... so I just go back to sleep, i was extremely sleepy... in the midst of the in between a dream and awake, I hear a knock on the window, thinking it was nobody important I ignore it... a few seconds later the window slides open (window was locked) and I was still in the "in between" but I hear a mans voice say my name threw the window and I say "yeah" and he says "are you ready to start dreaming" and I say "yes... I am" and he says "ok then, just making sure" and at that moment the window was closing and I said "hey wait.. whats your name?" to which he replied "Darius(alias)" (I wont give the real name) but after he left, I still felt as though I was being watched, I felt a presence and I am still in the in between a dream and awake, when I get up to go open the door to ask my mom who Darius is, when I get to the door... I unlock it and try to open it but the knob pulled from the other side, might I remind you it is 5 am in the morning and everyone is asleep.. I pull again and still the door knob is turned from the other side... finally the 3rd time I pulled my hardest and swing the door open... and before me is standing a 7 foot tall black figure dressed in strange black clothing... and as we made eye contact I realized his eyes were STARS and he had no face, just solid blackness... I screamed... and I awoke screaming in my bed and my nephew scared half to death trying to wake me... my mom and older brother also come banging on the door trying to get in...

after the talk with my mom about it, I learned that Darius(alias) was a Native American Medicine Man who had cured my grandmothers cancer in the 1970's and he died in 1982...

just thought I'd share an experience with fellow dreamers...

I have more experences like this, I will share more if anyone is interested :p I've had even better dreams but this was my first.

That sounds scary. Was the actual name a common name, something that could have been a coincidence to have also been what the medicine man was named? Had you heard the name before?

Wow. That was a freaky experience, even for me. It sounds to me like you had HI during sleep paralysis, and then you had a false awakening.

I can sort of relate. I was once asleep in bed when my brother and friend walked into my bedroom, after a few minutes of my brother telling me he had something, and he was going to come in soon. I wasn't facing them, so I couldn't see them, but they were talking to me. When I realised that my friend shouldn't be here this late, and that they'd gotten in without opening the door, I turned around. They weren't there. I did a RC and I wasn't dreaming. I wasn't scared; I thought it was cool

So you were legitimately hallucinating while you were awake? That is scary.

Possibly. I may have also been me failing to notice SP HI because I was half asleep, and when I did realise what was going on, the SP had passed.
Hopefully it was the second one

No I never knew anything about this man or ever heard his name, he gave me his full name by the way, we went back to south Dakota and I met the medicine mans family and grand kids, I am now his grand sons favorite nephew ... And came very close to his whole family, I also learned that my dad knew this man very well, why I never learned about him before I have no clue. All I can say is that one dream was only the beginning.
