      What dose this mean?

Hi everyone, i recently registered here, seems like a good forum to talk about dreams and learning more about dreaming.

I was wondering if anyone knew what it meant if you say to yourself (in a dream) "I am dreaming right now" and then when i realized i was dreaming, i started to look for details on a wall or the ground. obviously i was liquid dreaming, but then i notice i could just wake up whenever i wanted, just telling myself (in a dream) to, "wake up now" and i instantly do so. I've been able to do this a few times and, i can remember one scenario i was just falling down and i didn't want to know the end of it so i told myself to wake up and i did. And sometimes i just wanted to wake up to be in our present world.

maybe someone know more and could help me understand why these things happens in a dream.

Why would you want to wake up? lucid dreaming is one of the most fun things there is. It's like being in an intense acid trip, but jumping off of a roof doesn hurt you.

I maybe should point out that when i was able to wake up by just telling myself to do so , i wasn't realizing i was dreaming, only that i could say it, and wake up. Like an emergency switch, spontaneously.

And when i realized i WAS dreaming by telling myself i am dreaming, i kept just looking for details around me and not thinking i could do anything like you said for example jumping off a roof or something.

How long have you known about lucid dreaming? It sounds as though you need to do a bit of research to understand it, so when you are dreaming you don't just wake up and understand what is happening to you when you become lucid.

There's plenty of information on this site if you need it
