Hi there, I´m new to the community and wanted to introduce myself and all, hehe. My name´s Kaimelar and I´ve been doing some research on lucid dreaming since two weeks or so.

I got my hand on the book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" (plenty of you will probably know it or maybe even read it) and have been quite interested on the subject. I´ve been filling out my dream journal since 15 days and just yesterday I had a frustrating experience, yet succesful in a certain way.

For the first time I actually remembered to do a reality check in a dream, but when I thought of it in the dream I looked around and said: "Well, this actually feels real and seems real to me, no point on actually doing a reality check... I´ll just do it later." In the dream, my dad had bought a beautiful car, an old classic but in very good conditions. He said it wasn´t actually for me, but he bought it so I could use it too. After I thought about doing the reality check I said to myself: "Well, it is quite odd though... the economical situation isn´t really that generous for my dad to go out and buy a car just because he felt like it..." I´ve been doing reality checks every now and then, almost every day every 30 to 45 minutes, but when I´m at school I usually look around and think exactly what I thought in the dream: "This feel real, seems real, no point on doing a reality check..." This bad habit actually cost me lucidity in my dream, wich was frustrating it being the first time I did remember to do one in a dream.

Anyway, I´m writing down between 4 and 6 dreams by night, so I guess I´m doing ok. So, I wanted to share that with the community. ^^
