      New guy,slightly confused

Hey guys, so for i long time every now and then i could control my dream or realise I'm dreaming, and i usually dream regularly. My friend told me about lucid dream, and after some researching, i came here. So for the past few days I have gone to sleep with the intent of doing reality checks in dreams etc, but all I've woken up with is a jumble of thoughts/emotions that make no sense. It's like there was just a crowd of people having a convo in my head . No visuals. I think I need to relax and just go with the flow, what do you guys think?

How much research have you done?

I recommend you get a dream journal, and record your dreams in it every morning. This will help you remember your dreams and you won't get so confused in the morning.

Also, apparently we wake up with whatever thoughts you go to sleep thinking. Try and really quieten your mind before you sleep Relax, if you get stressed out, it'll just set you back.

You should be performing also performing the reality check in waking life. It help you as much/more than intention.

But, to answer you question, Yes. Write to anything you remember seeing/feeling/touching/etc. It may just be fractures at first, but things will start coming together.

haha, because when I think about what I recall, it just appears to me as:

      hmmmbrrderbahmananaaasd

like just a bunch of something I know is there but cant see, like when you forget something but you know you know it, you know?

I think I will just do some normal sleeping, practise my recall for a week or two

Oh and on a slightly unrelated note:

Do lucid dreams feel like real life? Like sometimes you don't know whether you're dreaming or not in a FA (unless you do an RC)?

because all the dreams I remember feel muted in some way - colour, movement, blurry vision.

Mine vary on realness. Sometimes I need to do A LOT of RCs to convince myself that I'm dreaming, whereas other times it feels kind of dream-like and I have less control. But yes, there are dreams that feel like real life

The more you practice, the better you will get and the clearer your dreams will be
