You could go the organic route and eat things like bananas or peanut butter before bed. If you aren't really into supplements/food aids you should only have to use them very briefly just to get something to start out with. With Lucid Dreaming, everything gets progressively easier once you've made the first step. (recall, attaining lucidity, dream control)
