Thread: My Introduction into the World of Dreaming

My name is Young Lion. I was first introduced to dream control from the movie Inception (like many i bet). Since the day i saw the movie I've been having move vivid dreams. Literally dreams within dreams where you dream you've awoken but it turns out to be a false awakening. Anyways me and my friend Wise Hawk (who i watched the movie with) plan to take this dream thing to the next level and work on mastering Lucid Dreaming. His goal is to ultimately FLY, and my goal is to morph into an actual Lion. Today is my first day as a member.

For those who already know how to LD i recommend listening to KiD CuDi's music. Some of his songs are directly on his ability to control his dreams. His Here are some songs i would suggest.

In My Dreams, Heaven At Nite, Trapped In My Mind, and CuDi Zone.

I have some questions i would like to ask.
1) When entering a WILD do you always get sleep paralysis?
2) How where you introduced to dream control?
3) Do you find it easy to remember your dreams?

I'd like to say that there is no such thing as a dream within a dream. The dream scene only changes.

Now for your questions:
1) In order to WILD you need to fall asleep. You're body always goes into sleep paralysis when it does fall asleep unless you have a sleep walking problem. So yes, you will always get sleep paralysis when WILDing. Sometimes even in the dreams.

2) I knew that It was possible to become aware that your dreaming, and I know that almost anything can happen in a dream. I put 2 and 2 together which means dream control.

3) It's pretty easy to remember my dreams. I remember them every night now and get lucid almost every night.

One more question. What tutorial would you suggest for a beginner?

Well if you are infact new I would start with the dream journal to increase your dream recall, it did help me but my schedule is very very bad so try to stay on track. I think it would be best to try a DILD at least for a little while, I haven't had a LD yet but got close. WILDs seem hard to do because I always fall asleep. This way you might have a LD and still be working on other things like Dream Recall.

When you WILD you will most likely enter SP. Some people enter the dream and hit SP at virtually the same time though so they don't notice it. I'm normally in SP for <30seconds before I enter a dream.
I don't remember when I first heard of lucid dreaming.
Yes my dreams are easy to remember. I remember anywhere from 3-7 in an average night.
As far as tutorials go how to lucid dream is a good place to start. Are you looking more to DILD or WILD?

EDIT: As far as your goals go. Your friend will have a much easier time accomplishing his. Flying is generally one of the first 'superpowers' people learn to do in a lucid dream. I hear transforming is fairly advanced, I have yet to try it.

1) I don't know a lot about WILDing, but I do know your body will always go into SP when you're sleeping. Whether or not you notice it happening every time you WILD, I don't know. I personally do.

2) I first started having LDs as a kid, and logic told me that since it's in my head I should be able to control them.

3) Yeah I have a natural ability to remember my dreams pretty well without a DJ. To improve your recall you can start up a dream journal, it also helps you spot possible dream signs.
