Hi there I've been lurking around DV for a while, but recently decided to sign up in case I had some questions. I've been doing Reality Checks and recording in my DJ for about two months now, still no luck, but I still have high hopes! I do have a few questions: 1) How long should a reality check take, and how should I go about truly questioning my surroundings and being aware of it (I would say I'm doing pretty well now, just want some clarification)? 2) How long does it usually take for your reality checking habits to carry over into your dreams? 3) My family's van is a Dream Sign of mine, when do you suggest I do a reality check (looking at it, getting in, seatbelt,etc.)? hello there! and welcome to DV! -A reality check could take as long as you'd like to question your surrondings. I would say don't just question am i dreaming and simply perform a few reality checks, I say you should do reality checks and genuinely think through if your dreaming or not, and to help with goals pretend you realize your dreaming and think through what you would like to do within your dream. -Reality checks usually end up varying on the dreamer. If you are a conscious thinker and questioning your surrondings in many ways it will set into your dreams within a 1-2 week time period. -Whatever part you happen to see in your dream the most repeatatively. good luck! if you have anymore concerns/questions feel free to ask!
