Hi and welcome to DV! The first thing you need to do is to start writing down your dreams. You can start your very own DJ by clicking the "Dream Journals" button uptop, or you just write them down in a private file, either way this is to improve your dream recall. You need to remember the lucids you're having (we all dream, it's just a matter of remembering them) for them to actually matter. Try to remember details in the dream and experiment with different methods of doing so. Lie still when you wake up and let the dreams come to you.
The second thing you need to do is to set up a few goals, or more specifically; WANT to get lucid. You need something you look forward to. If getting lucid is all you want for now, then that's OK. Aslong as you want to badly, this will help you alot.
Look up certain techniques and try them all out. Most people do Reality Checks to check if they're sleeping during the day. If you do this enough you might do it in a dream and realise you're dreaming. This is called DILD and relies on becoming lucid while inside the dream. But perhaps WILD is your cup of tea?
Check out the Wiki - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource for all the stuff you need. If you have further questions after that, feel free to ask here
Keep on dreaming!
