if, during the time where you recall the dream and are continuing it in your mind, you're asleep, then yes it's a lucid dream. otherwise, no. lucid dreaming is simply being aware of the fact that you're dreaming, while you're dreaming. |

lots of times before school my mom wakes me up and i go over to my door, shut it andlock it (so she doesnt see) and i go back to sleeping laying down in my bed (hehe i tell her im dressing) then i recall what i was dreaming about, especially if it was a good dream and i continue it in my head but usually focus on it too much and it fades away after 10 minutes |

Well, not to contradict you Paperdoll, but I've had something like this before I found out about lucid dreaming, and I label it more on the dream re-entry side. I've been trying it again lately, but with no current success. When I had time (usually on weekends) and I had a particularly vivid dream, I would try to "finish" it with my own particular ending. I'd lay in bed and use my imagination to continue what was going on and would often fall back asleep, directly into a dream state. |

They don't have to be exciting. You don't even have to have any amount of control in an LD. If you were certain that you were dreaming (and by its very nature sleeping), then you were lucid. |
