What's up, as you guys can tell by the title of this thread, I've just signed up..Not that long ago a classmate of mine told me that he was having lucid dreams and I instantly became interested. From what I remember I've only had 2 lucid dreams. I had one was when I much younger and the most recent one was a WILD (I'm almost positive it was) from when I was suffering from a horrible blistering skin rash known as Shingles. Lying in my bed, still as a rock after and taking my heavy medication I felt as if my body was spinning uncontrollably forward and shortly after I started to hear voices. Not a humming or buzzing/ringing sound, actual voices and was too drugged up from my medication to actually pay attention to what was happening. I was still lying on my bed in my room, changed positions, and still heard those voices. I thought it was a side effect that the medication had caused, but I still can be wrong. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm about 90% I had a WILD. After that I can't even remember what happened. I think I drifted into unconscious sleep. These past few days I've been looking into different techniques seeing which one would work best for me. I've been practicing the DILD technique and am hoping to have lucid dreams in the near future. A nice DV welcoming would be greatly appreciated !

Welcome to DV, broseph. Read through the tutorial section and don't be afraid to ask any question you might have. I'd suggest starting up a dream journal, which will help you with recall and identifying dream signs, 2 major parts of becoming lucid through DILDs.

I already have a physical dream journal, so I'm set on that. I've already read the tutorials which are very helpful, so I'm set on that. Just need the practice, practice, and practice. Thanks !

I'd suggest starting up a dream journal, which will help you with recall and identifying dream signs, 2 major parts of becoming lucid through DILDs. Yep, get that recall up and identify dream signs -- Big part of having DILD's. Also, make sure to read the thread Agent linked you to. Edit: You posted right when I did lol. Yeah man, practice and patience is all you need. Keep it up

Lucid dreaming as a whole can be rather overwhelming at first as there are so many ways to induce it, so much information to do with it...and so forth. Before you do anything else I suggest that you read the tutorial in my signature in order to get an overview of the whole thing. It's great! Best of luck with your future dreams and feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. EDIT: Shingles are NOT NICE. I've had them as well and they came around right at the time of my exams. Luckily they were mock exams and not the real deal.

Welcome! Don't get discouraged if you won't get a lucid soon, for others it may take a bit longer.
