Soooo, any basic things to know?

I've gone through most of the methods, deciding that DILD is the only practical one in my situation. I know that you should do the dream journal and do the repeat the stuff about not being in a dream. Would that pretty much be it? Just do the listed steps for DILD and hope for the best?

Thanks for any replies, and hopefully I'll be able to discuss what it's like in the near future.

Yeah as a DILDer your DJ will be a key part of your success, so be really diligent with it. Every morning make sure you write down everything you can remember, in detail, even if it's just fragments. Over time your recall will become better, eventually getting to the point where you can recall multiple dreams throughout the night.

Another thing you will want to start making a habit of is doing reality checks throughout the day, for obvious reasons.

      Also, welcome to DV

Okay, thanks! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a vital piece of information. Though I would like to mention KingYoshi's thread about ADA. That seems like a useful method for me, since I'm always looking at the details. But, what I was amazed at was how often lucid dreaming can be achieved. I expected it to be only 100 in your entire lifetime, if you were the best. I never expected that you could achieve that many.
