Hey that's cool, I dream the complete opposite way. The dream is never verbal, it's all visual. I may or may not be myself, or I may just *be. I can be at any point in space and my vision may be perceived at different spacial points at the same time. I may or may not be in any shape or form, with or without thought. As for more normal dreams, communication is 'telepathic', there's no language involved, just an understanding. But this understanding does not make the dream omnipotent, just a different form of communication.
I used to lucid dream quite a bit. I stopped for many years, it was really messing with me. I find a dream journal helps with recalling, which leads to dream recognition while sleeping. Then lucidity comes naturally.
