Lightbulb New to lucid dreaming, And need some help

I need some help with questions on lucid dreaming. If anyone can help with this, it'd be greatly appreciated. Being new to lucid dreams and such, I haven't had one yet, but would like to have one at least once. Now that I have introduced myself, here comes the Q's.

      1. What is the best time to have one?
      2. How do I stay in one?
      3. How to I prepare to have one?
      5. Are they dangerous?
      6. What is the best induction technique?
      7. And a weird one: is WILD induction attainable any time during the day?

      1. What is the best time to have one?
You should set an alarm for 4.5 or 6 hours after you fall asleep so you are in REM. When you are in REM you have dreams. Each sleep cycle is 90 minutes, and near the end is REM. REM starts out short, like 5 minutes but works it's way up to about 45 minutes.

      2. How do I stay in one? You should try: spinning (Don't close your eyes when you spin though, you could wake up.), rubbing your hands together while you look at them, picking up an object and observing it closely to grond you in your dream.

      3. How to I prepare to have one? Get a few hours of sleep by doing a Wake Back to Bed or WBTB and be relaxed and in REM sleep.

      5. Are they dangerous? Haha, wheres #4? No, not at all! It is a harm free world that is a place to do anything you want!

      6. What is the best induction technique? WBTB combined with DILD or MILD.

      7. And a weird one: is WILD induction attainable any time during the day? I don't think so. Usually a few hours after you wake up, or mid-afternoon is the best time for a WILD during the day.

Thanks! I'm on a tight schedule, so the WBTB combined w/ the DILD sounds good. And thanks for pointing out the absence of #4. I guess it's a good way to remind to perform a reality check.

Haha yeah, that could be a good RC

And you can also set two alarms for two different WBTB times, so that you have twice the chance of a sucsessful lucid dream!

Thanks! I haven't had a lucid dream yet, but I think it would be a good idea! I'll probably go for 4 hours, then 2 hours, but I'm pretty much running on experiment, and having discovered KingYoshi's all day awareness technique, I'll start using all that.

Do a reality chenck when you wake so you don't have a false awakening.

Yeah, KingYoshi's technique is really good, but I think it is really hard to do! I definitely try to do it but I always get sidetracked... haha

I hear that this can transition into an out of body experience (edit) OR lucid dream. Is this true?
