      Help

Ok, I am new to lucid dreaming, sorta. I tried the WILD technique last night but I could never fall asleep concious, I tried for 30min. I also tried to activate my pineal gland, but im not sure if I did, the region started to hurt and I had a tingling sensation throughout my body. Can someone give me tips? Also, is it possible to lucid dream as I go to bed?. Thanks

Do not try to WILD before bed. If you are stop and do it after sleeping a few hours or during a nap. Also it will take most people more than one attempt to WILD. Just keep working at it until you have your first WILD.

I've tried that and it's never done anything for me. Would you mind listing what you did on your first attempt?

I think you did everything right, if you did it in the middle of the day, during a nap or something.
Next time, try doing the same thing, but instead of concentrating on lucid dreaming, I want you to imagine a taco! A big delicious taco. Think about the lettuce! The cheese! The tomato! Think about how it WOULD feel IF you touched it. Think about how it smells. Imagine that it is in front of you.
If you do it right, very soon you'll be able to SEE the taco.
I don't mean that your mind's eye will see it. I don't mean that if you have a vivid imagination you'll imagine a taco.
I mean you will literally SEE the taco, in full detail, clarity, and color.
When you see the taco, do not get excited. Just look and see what the taco is sitting on. Then follow that down to the floor. Once you get to the floor, just look around. You should be in, and free to walk around.
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

I am very new as well, And I wouldn't recommend trying WILD until you are like a Yoda at DILD

It varies but I've had a WILD as real as reality.

In my experience there is no correlation between number of DILDs and WILD ability. They are different skills.

Ok, people have said that have 400 recalled dreams but only 20 lucid dreams. How do you increase that :0. And for increasing DILDs.. is the only way to do this is doing constant RCs?

The more aware you are the more DILDs you will have. Reality checks make you more aware so yes more RCs will help. But make the checks meaningful. Don't just go through the motions. Actually test reality.

I just bite my finger as my RC. Its almost a habit now, is this a good one? As you can't feel pain in dreams.

Another point: my dream last night was with one of those electric orbs that causes ur hair to stand up, I felt the shocking and everything, it was cool :p. Just wanted to say

      Well XD?

Is doing a pain RC a good one?

I don't think so because some times I can feel pain.

Also don't post multiple times in a row please.

Don't do the pineal gland thing. Don't even worry about pineal gland crap its misleading.

Wake up after 4 to 6 hours sleep. Go back to sleep. This is the time to WILD. I cannot even describe to you what its like to go into a WILD. It doesn't matter though. What important is that you enter into the dream consciously. If you do pass out unconsciously, thats ok. Your state of consciousness will be more aware and you will have a greater chance at becoming lucid. Do not worry if you find WILD hard. If you cannot do this its ok. Just keep trying and even if you don't WILD you may still become lucid from waking up and going back to bed. Then you will be stoked
Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake
