      What kind of Dream?

      Has anyone experienced a dream that is in between wake and sleep? It's not LDing as I know it- that's for sure.

      Let me explain. From time-to-time, I may go to sleep during the day watching TV. And soon am off into dreamland. Then my DCs are speaking in my dreams and carrying on as usuall- all on their own. No manipualtion from me- as this is not a LD.

      But then, as I'm slowly and gradually nearing a wake state, my DCs- still speaking among themselves, start talking, sounding like and saying what the TV characters are actually saying. I know this because as I gradually leave my dream, I see and hear my DCs talking and as soon as I cross over this very fine line to reality, my DCs disappear and the only thing that I bring back to the reality side, is their continuing conversation, which then, turns out to be the actual TV characters talking.

      It's very strange indeed. As if somewhere at some point in time, as I'm coming to, my DCs and TVCs voices merge.

      Has anyone else had such an experience? What would this type of mid dream/wake state be called?

      it's normal for things around you to carry over into your dreams. it has happened to me before, I fell asleep on a couch with the tv on and though I didn't see any DC's, I could hear everything that was coming from the tv. I wouldn't call it a particular state itself, but the state as you are going to sleep is called "hypnogogic" and the state as you are waking up is called "hypnopompic".


      Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.
